    Default Pick a No. 1

I'm pumped already and driving my better half nuts with the approaching college hoops. Gal had a crush on Maravich when we were teens, and basketball just ain't been the same for her since ol' Pistol Pete passed away. I swear, as big of a baseball fan as I am, it's college basketball that will eventually cause the lady to divorce me. I'll be sad when that happens, naturally, but then I'll check the upcoming schedule for one sport or the other and life will quickly return to normal

Anyway, want to run a couple of dreaded preseason polls by y'all and see what you think, run it up the old flagpole so to speak. The ESPN/USA Today poll has been up now for a bit, and this is their Top 10:

    #-SCHOOL (#1 votes) Points
    1. North Carolina (10) 739
    2. UCLA (12) 734
    3. Memphis (8) 731
    4. Kansas (1) 669
    5. Georgetown 625
    6. Louisville 620
    7. Tennessee 598
    8. Michigan State 503
    9. Indiana 479
    10. Washington State 464

Which one is your pick to win it all? And should you not like any of them, we have a None Of The Above (I MEANT TO TYPE THOSE LETTERS IN CAPS, BRADLEY!!!)

Fück! Some damn fool has set it where the max on the poll options is 10!

I shall change that now...sorry about that. If you don't like any of the 10 listed, post them manually in the meantime.

Sorry guys, I had to pick WSU, don't think I've EVER seen them in ANY NCAA preseason National chamionship polls, so had to pick them, even tho I don't think they have a snowballs chance in hell of winning it all...I really like MEMPHIS this year, they are stacked at every position and have all the ingredients neccessary to win it all..UNC is the other obvious choice with the premiere PG and Big Man in the country! Kansas and TENN are 2 others I see as going deep into the dance!!!

UNC's bench would be a top 25 team.

    gotta go with the Heels.

I'm going to take the Vols right now just because I hate to take the more obvious UNC/UCLA/Memphis picks. Georgetown is a close one to try, but Tennessee has a pretty good chance to go into the tourney with a 2-seed at worst, and I like their odds to make it three straight from the SEC.

Hoyas are my preseason pick to cut down the nets.

The Cards baby! Cardinals kicked the poop out of Carleton University last night. they are going to own the Big East, or the Big Beast.

    and yes, i'm being sarcastic.

    but still, GO CARDS!!

I want to agree with you so badly on this one Willie, but I can't. Their have been a few off the court problems with Lofton and Crews. Now I see today that Chism was taken to hospital from practice because he was knocked out.

Now with all that being said I gotta go with the Tar Heels.

I am with you Dog. Georgetown or Kansas make my best of the best list 1-2.
