Default The system to end all systems... ROUND TWO

The site crashed and the other thread was getting very long, so I'm gonna start a new one and post all College System plays here. The round 1 record ended at 93-67...

FYI It went 10-7-2 today but I was unable to post them since the site crashed so I can't use them towards the record.

Get ready to bust out your whoopin stick, this thing has pumped out 60% winners and I think 8/9 days since I modified it were winning days... lets keep it up.

I'm sorry, but I don't think you can call a system that has been "pumping out 60%" for only 8/9 days, a "system to end all systems."

And I only say this because I've been there. Don't get too caught up in the hype of a new system. I've done the same thing as you where I thought I had a 75% system and posted about it, only to watch it fail miserably.

I currently have an NCAAB system that's 68% (84-40) after 3 weeks. I'm still keeping it to myself though because I know 3 weeks is not a big enough sample size. I may not even share it the rest of the year but wait until next season. I put out a few picks on Twitter and my blog every now and then, but other than that I'm keeping quite until the results can speak for themselves.

Again, I'm not trying to be too critical of you and I honestly hope your system works great. All I'm saying is be careful with the hype if you want to keep a good image around here.

Best of Luck!

Good luck! You know I'm rooting for this system to prove itself! I haven't checked last couple days, how's it doing in NBA?

Default Sacramento State

Did you accidentally hit the "0" button instead of a 9 on the over of Sacramento State tonight because no line was ever 140 but either 148 or 149.

I never play spreads greater than -14... even if the system is strong with it. For that reason exactly. Once a team gets up high enough they look to maintain and don't care if they give up a few points, they don't care about the spread. I've found teams like to stay up 12-15 if they're good enough because then they can rest easy. Once the score gets to within 10-12 they tighten up. Just something I've noticed something to consider.

Other than that, keep up the good work!

For those of you that don't seem to understand... what I am doing is posting ALL PLAYS THAT FALL WITHIN THE GUIDELINES OF THIS SYSTEM FOR THE TENTH TIME

Once we have determined that the system works beyond a shadow of a doubt, we can proceed in somehow prioritizing plays or doing something to narrow them down or whatever so that everyone can hop on board. Im not gonna leave any off of the board and then claim that I went 45-17, and then some chump comes out of the bushes and calls me a liar or whatever.

Noone said anyone to had to play all this. This is a test.

Im honestly not trying to be a dick and I know you guys are cool and supportive... to be totally honest this shit is kinda stressing me out, I didn't like that bad beat today and the results have not been what I expected really.

February hasn't been too good... Its been floating barely over .500.... and that is clearly unacceptable to me.

Listen all I want is for all of us to make money, and Im a man of my word. Like I said I will not fully rest until this thing has been perfected and we are all balling. Im a man on a mission

I hope it works out! Sometimes just capping a game works better that a "system" though?

If by 30 you mean 72, then yes.

I'm sorry, man, but this is just not feasible for a system. I would be completely surprised if this did better than 55% tomorrow. At best (it's much more likely to be under 50%). And that is just too much money to risk for such a relatively small gain.

There just has to be more qualifications you can enter into your system to weed some of these out. It looks like right now you're just going off of random chance, which is going to get you around 50% if the lines are right.

I should add (and please listen to this, if nothing else at all):

Lines are set up to give each side roughly a 50% chance at winning. The way the house wins is through the juice. If you bet on random teams (assuming the lines are right) you will end up hitting 50%, but you'll have lost money due to the juice.

The way we (the bettors) win is by finding the lines that are incorrect, that is, not 50%, and exploit them. It's impossible for even the best sports books to get every line right so it's our job to find the ones that are wrong. Sometimes they rush their analysis, sometimes a player gets injured and we can react faster than they can change the line. Sometimes we just know a team better than they do.

I bring this up because there is no way the books got 72 lines wrong, thus most of your "system picks" have a 50% chance of winning, thus your "system" will hit about 50% of them, give or take.

This is why we look for systems that only call a few games a day at most. If that is all our system is calling, we have more reason to believe our system is finding the incorrect lines. We then back that up with evidence by following the picks and see they are hitting 60-70% of the time.

60-70% is very good because we can assume the books are trying to get each line to 50%. When they are off, they are rarely off by too much (20% at most, usually). If you're looking for a system to hit 90%, find a system that calls about 10 games a season, because that's probably how often they're off by that much.

That is what we are trying to say. You say you will not rest until it's perfected so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen to this and take notice!!! You are calling too many games.

You are the one who is not understanding. You don't think I know the things you have said here?

Im not picking random games, and don't ever insult me with this nonsense again. You are remarkably narrow minded.

You obviously AREN'T understanding, and frankly I find it hilarious that you insult me for trying to help you!

Let me say this once more: There is no way 72 lines are incorrect today. Therefore, you will be lucky to get much more than 50% today.

If you don't understand what that means then you really shouldn't be gambling with sports. That's not an insult, that's just me trying to help.

How can you say you "will not rest until this is perfected" if you are unwilling to change it?
