2 Big Sky picks for Friday
1-0 on the forum
With a light schedule, I thought i'd throw these out the since big sky is my specialty.
Portland St +2
Don't you just want to jump on N Col.? Awesome cinderalla story, but PSU is 28-2
SU at Stott Center since 2007-2008. 2-0 conference at home this year, both by 25+. A different animal at home in something that resembles a 2A high school gym.
E Wash -2.5
Finally signs of life in Montana last week, giving Grizzlys all they wanted (despite fianal score) and then upsetting State. N Arizona is just what the doctor ordered.
2-6 on the road and one of them coming vs. 2-16 Tex. PanAmerican.

They're averaging something like 96 PPG at home, not sure on the side, but I like the over big time in this one.

I almost added Sac. St, they lead Weber St. in the second half in that home loss last month. Nice win vs Seattle Jan 9th, Its not the team that won (what was it 2 games?) last year

Thanks for the info. I saw the early lines and was unsure at best. Big sky is not a specialty of mine so I'm thinking of riding with you... at least on E. Wash.

Portland St. is at the very bottom fo the worst defense in NCAA D1.
Hard for me to back a team like that against a solid team.

I agree N. Colorado is the better team by far, but the line should have opened at -8 or bigger.. Vegas is beggin for people to take NC. Something smells funny.. Just a thought, Good Luck on what ever you play!

I'm leaning E. Wash and Rider. Both have been good to me this year and are at home.

the public IS pounding the line at over 70% and its only staying at -2. N Colorado is the play for me. They are in the top 100 RPI, have played some good, tough teams this year and almost beat Oklahoma. Port St has played NOBODY and lost to some really sorry teams. This might be a double digit win for N Colorado. Just my opinion......

the fact that n.col is getting pounded at a alarming clip and the line isnt budging is not a strong and or good reason to take n.col....i mean c'mon man line opens at what most ppl think is short in the 1st place ppl hammering the team with the great record only laying 2 yet line doesnt budge ....por st did beat a portland team that lost to the zags by 2 and is a much better team than most ppl give them credit for

i wasn't using that to justify my play, i agree with you. N Colorado has been my play all along though. I have seen them play this year a few times and this team is good. I don't see this being close, the strength of schedule is going to help and Port St has some of the worst defense in the league.

FWIW - here is my 2 cents on this game...No. Colorado -2 over Portland st(10:05 pm) - Portland st has played as weak a schedule at home that I have seen. 2 division II teams, cal poly slo, E.Wash and sac st. None of those teams has close to a winning record. Portland st plays no defense and their game plan is to try to outscore you. Anyone who plays the slightest bit of defense against them wins handily. N.Colorado just handed TCU a rare home loss and has beat Montana, Air Force, and lost to Oklahoma by 1 all on the road. They are just playing too well to let this one slip through their grasp.
good luck to everyone 2night

n.colorado hasn't been getting any respect by vegas at all this season and it looks like it the pattern is continuing. Meanwhile Portland state is 6-0 SU vs NColorado since 97' and PS has a 28-2 home record over the last 3 seasons but they are 1-8 as an underdog overall and 7-18 as an underdog overall the last 3 seasons. NColorado is 9-1 as a fav and 22-6 as a fav over the last 3 seasons. Could it be that NColorado finally has the talent to match up and break the cycle??? I know the public is all over this game but its not like it is a huge TV game with 50,000 bets taking place. According to sportsinsights there are about 3500 bets on this game right now, anyway trends are made to be broken and this is a great spot for a rested NColorado team. I take my chances. GL everyone
