Sweet 16: Wisconsin -3 over Baylor

This is my first play of the Sweet Sixteen. I have felt from the beginning that this would be the year that Bo Ryan and his Badgers finally make a run. Like I said on Saturday, their offense is a well oiled machine. Great passing in the halfcourt and a big man in Kaminsky whose inside-outside versatility makes for a matchup nightmare.

A lot of people love Baylor in this matchup after seeing what they did to Creighton and rightfully so. They finished the season strong and are rolling right now. That said, they will come up short Thursday. Wisconsin finally makes the Elite 8 where I expect them to meet Arizona.

    Wisconsin -3 -105 (6x)

I love this play. Bo Ryan will find the holes in Baylor's zone and exploit them. They have bigs that can hurt in different ways because they can shoot. The ft line jumper will be the death of Baylor. Expect Kaminsky, Dekker, and Hayes (really coming on of late) to all find their way in the middle and along the baseline. Baylor's athleticism won't be a shock to the Badgers after playing Oregon. Wisconsin rolls

Hard to get a read on this game. Wisconsin much more disciplined and well-coached, but the talent gap here is pretty severe to be laying points.

    Good luck.

Sometimes people confuse athleticism with talent. Baylor is far and away more athletic, but Wisconsin has much more basketball skill and plenty of ways to exploit Baylor.

    Wisconsin doesn't play D

That's reason enough not to lay points

Bingo. Athleticism does not equal talent. This guy gets it.

Is that really necessary? If you can ball does it make a difference. Stick to the important stuff, no need to add the nasty fluff to your point.

Do you know why he is blind? If you do, you wouldn't post that comment, if you don't know google and see why. The kid is a role model, not a joke.

Baylor rolls...too much size and athleticism. Kaminsky is soft I look for Jefferson/gathers/Austin to dominate the boards. Also can we please stop ripping Drew as a coach? Dude has a .727 tournament win percentage...Bo Ryan .600 and 1 elite 8 appearance

Supposedly dude is going to the NBA next season.

Wisconsin is going to have to shoot lights out to win this one just like they needed to against Oregon. Baylor matches up well and are a very physical bunch that also makes shots.

Baylor won't shoot 60% like against Creighton but I still expect them to win.

Big Badger fan here . I have watched every game this year. As much as I love my badgers and want to see them advance, I have a hard time putting money on them after I watched Baylor kick the crap out of Creighton . I can't bet against the badgers , would feel like a traitor so maybe sit back and enjoy the game

I just didn't want to say it, but I was thinking I am the only one who thinks this is one of the most foolish statements I had ever heard. I just waved it off and didn't reply because I think he really means that stupid shit.

Public is all over Baylor, they do have a lot of athletes, size and athleticism. Regardless of how Baylor has played the past month I still think Scott Drew is an awful coach. Wisconsin has coaching edge for sure. Just depends on how Wisky can handle the athleticism and size of Baylor.

Sunday's win over Creighton was Scott Drew's first ever NCAA tournament win over a single digit seed. Previously his wins were over two 14 seeds, two 11 seeds and two 10 seeds. Never once defeated a single digit seed.

48% is lights out? Badgers won because they dominated the boards in the 2nd half and Oregon stopped hitting every deep 3 they threw up. Baylor is a slow tempo team that plays into the Badgers strengths. I don't bet Badger games but they win this one.

    Nonsense, Baylor wins by 10..

That zone defense is gonna keep Wiskys men out of the paint forcing up TOUGH 3s. Wiskys players already need 6 ft of clearance before it comes close to going in.

No way no how wisconsin walks away with the W.
