    Default Dog's Only

I have been doing just Big East games and doing quite well till last night. I've been watching tons of dogs cover or win outright for the past few weeks and I'm going to start posting the ones I like. All bets are for 1 unit unless stated otherwise.

I like V-Tech the most because they seem most likely to get blown out... so why only +8 ???

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Plus UNC got blown out by Fla St. so I expected a bigger line.

I think GTech forgot to come out of the locker room for the game. Vir and UNC were hungry for the big wins after they lost their last games. Normally I stay away from that situation but the low lines had me biting.

I had Ark at Pk but in the last 20 min it has gone to -2 so I can't add it as a play.

Not sure if Ala got hit hard here late but the line just dropped to 10.5 on my book.

We'll get it to + $. If I could have gotten the in the Ark play a little quicker I could have gone 3-1 today. Still no complaints. 4-2 on the day with my Big East Plays.

I passed on Mich because it seemed to good to be true. Kentucky only scores 19pts in the 2H and they still could not cover.

WF kept it close for one half. I tell you what Fla St has really turned it on the past 5 games. Classic let down spot for them and they take care of business. Mizz on the other hand loses SU. I also liked Bosie St. last night but again chickened out. I've done that twice now. Still getting a handle on these dogs.

Yale might be a live dog today. Their game of the season. Looks to be the first sellout at Yale in more than three years. Yale was picked to finish second in the Ivy, and this is their shot, at home, at Harvard. Getting 6 points. Bets pretty evenly split, and line has moved from 6.5 to 6. Yale has some veterans. And they will have a few inches size advantage underneath. Yale shoots just as well as Harvard, maybe a bit better. This should be a good battle. I think I want some action on this fine Friday. Taking the six.

Nice post. Thanks for sharing. I know next to nothing about Ivy League bball. I'll be interested to see how this one plays out.

    Harvard background
Harvard has a very good defense that sets up their methodical and calculated offense. They rank fourth in the nation allowing just 54.4 points per game. The defense ranks 11th nationally posting a 0.44 opponents assists per field goal made. This means they put tremendous pressure on every opponent’s possessions and contest every shot. By comparison, Yale ranks 191stin the nation posting a 0.544 opponent assists per field goal made ratio.
Harvard’s offense is not one dimensional and they distribute the ball to the teammate that has the best look at the rim. That confidence and trust in each other has produced a very strong chemistry among the starting five and bench players.
Harvard’s offense is led by Keith Wright and Kyle Casey, who both are averaging 10.8 points per game and Laurent Rivard, who averages 10.4 points per game. They have eight players who have played in all 18 games and their bench runs five players deep in most games. Only Oliver McNally averages more than 30 minutes per game. This depth and the unselfish play make it very difficult for any defense to alter their high level of execution and ball distribution.
    Yale background
The Bulldogs will need everything to go right in this game for them to have a solid chance at the upset. They are led by NBA prospect 6-10, 240 pound Greg Magano, who is leading the team in scoring at 19.4 points per game, rebounding with 10.3 rebounds per game, and minutes at 31.8 minutes per game. Yale is a far more offensively minded team than Harvard, but they have limitations when matched up against the Crimson defense.
Harvard will force Mangano to be further out from the box then he normally likes and will be double teamed down low on every touch he has. Margano accounts for 26% of the teams’ offensive output and Harvard will play lock-down style defense against him for the entire game. Mangano does have perimeter range and height advantages, but Harvard has superior quickness and excellent help defense. Yale likes to run backdoor cuts and they just will not be there for them tonight.
    Simulator projections
My proprietary sports betting database and simulator show a high probability that Harvard will win this game by eight or more points.
    Supporting system
Supporting this graded play is a system that has produced a record of 52-21 ATS for 71% winners since 2005. Play on road teams as a favorite or pick after allowing 55 points or less in two straight games and now facing an opponent after allowing 60 points or less. This system has gone 6-2 ATS this season and 33% of the winning plays covered the spread by seven or more points.

Almost had a 5-0 night. Sort of mad I just put a half unit on SH but as before they almost did blow it for me. Well I got things going in the right direction now. Let's keep it going.

Ill St gets a double thumbs down for their effort. I'm glad I got Memphis when I did at 3.5 since they lost by 3.
