I'm starting this thread to post all my WAC plays. I've been doing pretty good so far this season (13 - 2 - 1 YTD) so we'll see what happens with this thread. I usually use Bovada, but resort to BetUs if they don't have a line I want.

1/19/12 WAC LEANS:
New Mexico St. -7.5 (at San Jose St.) - I see the Aggies getting about a 10 - 12 point victory in this contest. The Spartans have lost at home by 7 twice to teams w/barely winning records. The Aggies are obviously the much more talented team here, and should outrebound and outshoot the Spartans. My only worry is the Aggies are due for a down game, and come out with a lack luster effort. Still, the logical choice here is the Aggies, and is in the running for my POD.

Louisiana Tech +9.5 (at Hawaii) - La. Tech is the lean here, especially w/news of UH's starting point guard Miah Ostrowski is highly doubtful due to a staff infection. With Miah they've gone 8 - 3, with the 3 losses all coming against solid competition (Nevada, UNLV, Auburn). Miah's replacement will likely be true freshman Shaq Stokes, a shoot-first-pass-second point guard with a bad FG% and is turnover prone. Be wary though, if Zane and/or Brereton have a good shooting night, this one could get ugly for the bulldogs

Utah St. also plays at Seattle today, but no line is out yet...will post if there's a later play. If it's available, I wouldn't take Utah if they're giving double digits or more.

On LA Tech for 10u myself. Johnson is out with the flu also. If I knew that before, I would've gone 10 more units on the game and 20u at the half. Let's get this!

Yeah, it's gonna be a close one..Hawaii should win by 4 or 5 at the most. I didn't know 'til tip-off that Zane was out w/the flu.

FYI, both back-court points has already made dumb turnovers...it will only get worse in crunch time. Hopefully Hawaii builds up enough of a lead to prevent a bad loss. Keep in mind, La. Tech stayed within 10 points against a fully healthy NM St. squad that's about even, if not better than Hawaii.

Cordarius Johnson is shooting lights out from 3 (4/5). That's why they have the lead right now. Hawaii has always been turnover prone, other than once Ostrowski started playing and doing most of the ball handling. I remember listening online to the local Hawaii broadcast and the announcers saying Hawaii had 10 turnovers at that point in the game (about halfway) and only one was from Ostrowski to go with his 6 assists. Looking at possible medium play on LA Tech 2H.

Johnson from La. Tech is shooting lights out, but looks like Gib Arnold has assigned our defensive specialist (Garret Jefferson) on Johnson. If Johnson shoots any less than 40% from 3, Hawaii's up at the half. Jefferson will severely limit Johnson's effectiveness in the 2nd half, so idk how good a play La Tech 2H would be.

Bigs from Hawaii can get hot too. Have LA Tech large for game, medium for 2H and small on the 2H under. We'll see how things pan out. Good luck on your plays bro.

I am counting on turnovers from Hawaii to keep them down in the 2H. I like how Jefferson defends but LA tech defensively will cause turnovers.

La. Tech shooting will cool down...45% clip at the half, they normally shoot 40% and Hawaii has the top defensive FG% in the conference

La Tech ML was a solid play once news broke out that Johnson was out w/the flu...didn't really think La. Tech could pull it off. GL tho, looking pretty good at the moment

My only concern is that the Giants seem to play 'WTF' effort kind of games sometimes. Definitely won't be a problem in the NFC championship game.

Hope Giants aren't a public trap. And I think you got your birds missed up (ravens/falcons)

Hatter, utah st. Is a bad road team (just lost to an awful seattle squad) going against a solid home team in idaho. I got utah st. Losing by around 6 to 8 points.

I'm watching the NM St. @ Hawaii women's game right now, couple minutes left. As soon as this is over, I'm anticipating some kind of update to the injuries. I will post as soon as I hear anything. According to Bovada, Hawaii has no injuries to report, which is weird.
