    Question Mississippi St. -3.5?

Miss. st favored by -3.5 on the road against detroit. They played last year at Missi. and won 82-76 with Detroit covering the +7.5 line. Detroit brings back 4 players that played in last years game dont know about Miss. st. While Detroit owns the fourth-worst defensive field-goal percentage in the Horizon League at 43.4 and The Titans are the Horizon's worst 3-point shooting team at 27.5 percent. Everything I find is pointing to Miss. St but im scared because this is Miss. St first true road game of the season. What do you guys think?

I like this pick...Moultrie and Bryant will be back for this game 2 of their better players...and Moultrie giving a huge body down low.

This missisippi st -3.5 stands out in a crowd to me. Missisippi state is 10-1, and theyve played in some big spots this year, remember they played at Madison Square Garden earlier this year in a 4 team tournament (not a huge field) but they won beating a quality Arizona team in the finals by 10 at the Garden. In fact in their 10 wins, theyve won by double digits 8 times. This Missippi State team has some grown men playing for them, more physical, impressive bodies. They take care of the basketball and play d only giving up 62 a game where Detroit gives up 70 a game. Ive seen this Detroit team play and they play like kids on the playground with mid-level game, nothing overtly special.....thats why they ended up at detroit and not mich st or michigan. Theyre sloppy with the basketball, theyre not intelligent basketball players, their a rag tag bunch...they remind me of a glorified st johns team. Miss st plays team ball and theyre smarter. Just a much tighter bunch, more cohesive. Miss st averages 76 points a game, Detroit averages 75 points a game. Grown ups vs boys here, i like miss st -3.5 and/or money line

I feel the same way looking over the stats it looks like its a good choice. I haven't seen any of these teams play bbut it sounds and looks like Miss. St. Is the superior team that can easily win this game and cover. I've locked it in! Let's get this!

Detroit should at least be +5.5 or +6 here.

Line is fishy. Early-morning burial might be coming.

I can see Dee Bost shooting them out of the cover.

Watch Ray McCallum Jr. for Detroit.

    He's a player.

Yeah but Miss St. has really good half court defense.

I rout for Detroit and I also think this line should be at +6.I think Detroit is better know that Holman is back in the mix,but beating a ranked team might be too much to ask.I like Miss State to win 68-62.I would love to see Detroit win,but I just can't see it.

Love Miss St here, they take care of the ball for the most part and UD's defense is garbage..simple as that.

"I mean defense is who we are, and defense is what we stand for," Holman said. Detroit, meanwhile, allowed Alabama to shoot 48.0 percent and owns the fourth-worst defensive field-goal percentage in the Horizon League at 43.4.

    Holman seems pretty smart lol.

The Titans are the Horizon's worst 3-point shooting team at 27.5 percent after missing all 12 attempts Sunday.

Not a good recipe for beating Miss St. Detroit has been awful ATS this year if I recall, or at least most of the games I remember seeing of them they didnt cover.

When you're dealing with a bunch of street-ball playground basketball players (like detroit has), you get their best effort in games like this. I.e. the St. Johns game.

liked this play early, seems real sketchy now

The Titans have a solid frontline with Holman and Lowe and they also get Chris Blake (10ppg last season) back from suspension. Miss State is yet to play a true road game this season and Detroit is a marginally tough place to play. They aren't as talented as Miss St, but the discrepancy isn't as large as some would seem to think. I am staying away from this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Titans win.

Dee Bost 4-16, 3-11 from 3. Hate guys like him, he thinks he's better than what he is and the NBA is the only thing on his mind, wouldnt take him if they had 5 rounds.
