I think I too like your 1st 1/2 - 8 bet on OSU.
I have a hard time picking a winner in this matchup as you can see from my thread.
I am guessing that the picks you made that preceeded the OSU 1st 1/2 pick are actually your stronger picks for the day.

Nice job Biff. Looks like I should of went with that NW 1st half instead of game. Oh well I felt pretty good about that game and probably would make that bet 9 out of 10 times. Hit OSU 1st half though which was easy winner, although I was still down on night overall because of a couple other unforseen losses.

feel bad for NU full game backers and my heart literally breaks for Shurna and Mildcat nation. looks as if it's going to be a real long shot for us to have an NCAA Shurnament this March. i love that kid as a player. one of my best friends lives in hope of the day that NU makes the tourney (much like i do with W&M - i'll have a much longer wait) and really thought that this was going to be the year. so did i. sucks. on the flip side, i'm obviously no UM fan, but it is amazing how much their defense has improved from the last couple of seasons to this season. they are a Sweet Sixteen team and could go further. the under is actually 16-5 in the last 21 meetings between Sparty and Gophers. however, i'm not huge on trends like that. that's a ten-year trend, so none of the players and a lot of the coaches are different when looking at such a long-term trend (you are correct that there are some short-term under trends as well). i'm more interested in how teams play in similar spots, and MSU is 5-2 over in last 7 as fave of 6' or less while Minnesota is 4-0 over as a home dog, 9-3 over in last 12 as dog of 6' or less. Minnesota also has been scoring more than expected at home of late, while Sparty has simply been having their way with teams on both ends of the court (slight net positive for over there). also, in watching Sparty lately, they definitely want to push tempo. Yeah Michigan is improving every year and making up some ground in recruiting over MSU and OSU. I am a Spartan fan through and through though since I was a little kid, so you will never see me rooting for Michigan unless I back them as an underdog against someone. I usually just try to avoid there games for most part because I think my vision gets clouded from my level of angst towards them. Anyways like the Spartans over tonight. yeah, i generally avoid betting UM games in general and backing UM in particular because i feel so conflicted (nothing worse than backing UM and losing for me). i more try to play totals with them since i do follow Big Ten so closely (two football seasons ago, UM overs were by most consistent play along with Wisky overs). i have a lot of extended family that are Sparty fans, and a few UM fans, but they're the minority (actually going up to Grand Rapids tomorrow). Izzo is the best coach in all of sports, i say. oh, and FTs at the end are definitely part of the play tonight. expecting 40 FTAs minimum, and around 50 is our magic number. 45 made field goals, 10 made threes and 30+ made FTs get us there with room to spare.

Lowest point of the season. So disappointing. Down about 70 Units last two-plus weeks after great start. Taking a few days off due to a family thing out of town. It's probably for the better. Best of luck to all and will be back with more fade material in no time.
