    Default TPowell's Saturday Plays (1/17)

After a terrible last few days I decided to get back to using my own head in capping these games. I've been looking at the stats and everything else INSTEAD of using my own intuition as well. I used it Thursday and came away with a 4-1 record and a 3-0 sweep of my 10 unit plays. Hopefully a big Saturday is in order as well!

15 Unit Play: Wake Forest (+2.5)
10 Unit Play: North Carolina State (-4.5)
    10 Unit Play: Syracuse (-3.5)
    10 Unit Play: Oregon (+1)
    10 Unit Play: Arkansas (+10.5)
    10 Unit Play: Butler (-2)
    5 Unit Play: Northeastern (-3)
5 Unit Play: Florida State (-4)
5 Unit Play: Miami Ohio (+3.5)
5 Unit Play: Northern Iowa (+5.5)
    5 Unit Play: Auburn (-4.5)
    5 Unit Play: Siena (-3)
    5 Unit Play: UCLA (-5.5)
    5 Unit Play: LSU (+1)

You are an excellent handicapper. Coming from me that is a compliment. Last week was bad for almost every good handicapper I know . It certainly was bad for me. It comes with the territory. I have lost 9 games in a row when the winner changed in overtime games this year. That is 511 to 1 odds. I can not do anything about it. I am thinking about holding a handicapping class in Las Vegas this year in early August. Get in touch with me and perhaps you might want to be one of the handicappers. I have 2 other well known handicappers who are interested. I taught a handicapping course at Clark Community College in Vegas in 1972. I was probably the first to do so. That and 50 cents gets me a cup of coffee. I know some stuff that is deadly in handicapping both football and basketball . I can share it with you . You will like it a lot.

really like the Arkansas line.... Also, Im loving South Carolina (also as a 10.5 point road dog)....How much longer can Tennessee get their asses handed to them and still get these big spreads against quality opponents???....Seems to make absolutely no sense to me as UT is full of superior athletes who just dont play well together....

With you on Northeastern until they prove otherwise! I LOVE Butler too tomorrow! N. Iowa is up to +6...maybe it goes up a wee bit more? They've won 5 in a row and held opp. to 56 ppg...defense travels better than offense! This game reminds me of the Minnesota/Wisconsin game the other night for some reason...home team a little overrated imo! GL TP keep up the good work!!

I like Penn State as a team but I'm not sure if they should be a road favorite against anybody. Indiana is pretty bad but you never know with them being at home. I'd stay away from it to be honest. Penn State should win the game though

Not a flame but I think Patty is saying a couple of things:
    1. It's hard to find a betting edge in as many games as you're playing today (>20) and
    2. that if your units are 1-2% of your bankroll, then you've got more than 100% of your bankroll in play today...

LSU was as easy as it gets today. This team is getting better by the game. They are learning a new system under Trent Johnson and this team is playing great defense

    1. Big cards are trouble sometimes but you can also get really hot.
    2. My units are NOT bankroll percentages, they are a flat amount

another nice winner on a 15 unit play, HUGE start to the day with +35 units. I see a couple losers in my late plays but at least they're 5 unit plays.

3 games left tonight for me, had a great start to the day and have been right around even in my 5 night plays. Hopefully Cal and Marquette can pull through and make it another great day!

Wow T. I had alot of the games same as you and thus know you had a monster day as I did.

10-0-1 in CBB and NBA combined. Damn Dukies pushed and ruined my perfect day. I need more days like this.

    Lets get em tomorrow. GL
