Default Hornets -1 *SOLID*

LA LAKERS (31-30) AT NEW ORLEANS (31-28)

Why not take the home team.

New Orleans @ Home 19-10
Lakers on Road 14-18

If there was a game where a 19-10 were playing
the 14-18 and the 19-10 were favored by only
1 wouldn't that look great??

Lakers are overrated! Lakers lost by 16 already
to the Hornets.

Lakers give up 97 on the road while Hornets
give up 89 @ home.Hornets only one pt
fav? @ home? Damn this looks great!!

I'm capping this one now. I might jump all over this.

I don't like the side, but am starting to really love the over.

How about this, you take the side and I'll take the total. I already put a unit on the over.

First game for Hornets back in New Orleans.

Should be a motivator, but I'm not sure if it helps them or not. Crowd in Oklahoma was really into the Suns game.

Somehow I think NO may be sidetracked by the Katrina thing. I'm waiting for 2H to get on LAL.

Could be a mixed bag. Here is a newspaper quote:

The surprising Hornets (31-28) and the Lakers (31-30) are in a fight for the seventh seed in the Western Conference. For that reason, the Hornets are somewhat torn about playing in New Orleans, given the success they have had in Oklahoma City, where they have gone 18-9 and sold out 15 of the 27 games at Ford Center. They rank 11th in overall attendance after leading the league in empty seats last season.

The Hornets will play 35 home games in Oklahoma City and six more in New Orleans next season. The huge following in Oklahoma has led to speculation that the Hornets would remain in Oklahoma City, but NBA Commissioner David Stern was adamant that the league plans to return to New Orleans for the 2007-08 season. To support that stance, the NBA has tentatively scheduled the 2008 All-Star Game in New Orleans. Shinn said he is committed to returning.

Ive been going to all the Hornets game here in OKC so I dont know how they will play in NO. If you gonna play halves DH play hornets 1st. They almost always play great ball 1st half esp when they in okc. you gonna have to take that one with a grain of salt since this one is in NO and I dont know how many peeps will show up.

I like the Hornets a lot, already took in the morning. -1 really too small spread. They had a couple of sloppy second halves in a row, but overall they've played good ball in 2nd halves during their winning games this season. I'm not at all sold on the Lakers and the team has been a good fade for me many times. Willing to take my chances here.

Had a good night in NBA last night. Didn't post my plays, only Atlanta in Bowmans competition thread, but won Hawks and Rockets with the points. I hope i'm getting back to groove...

Sorry I slept through this, guys --
you are doing great work.

NOK is really struggling. You could conceivably give them a pass for each of the last 2 2Hs (total fatigue vs Clips; Suns are truly special) but it's a real stretch. My lean is LAX, but I'd like to see how it unfolds.

Speaking of Kobe (sort of), isn't this the arena where Larry Bird went off for 60 against the Hawks in 1985?
