Injuries are the X-factor in sports, if Kobe gets hurt or something, the Lakers could falter. Refs could screw them too but I think that's highly unlikely.

Overall, there's a remote chance the Spurs will win game 2 but you can say that about just about any team in any sports competition. That's my two cents.

Now, the series could be totally different come game 5, I don't have a crystal ball to see that scenario.

Oh I think the Spurs have a decent shot at the upset without the aid of injuries. Remember they were just one day removed from an emotional Game 7 when these teams played Wednesday, and they still played strong into third quarter. Yes they blew 20-point lead, but I think they will, stay focused from start to finish tonight.

The Lakers will try not to allow a reasonable lead by Spurs today. Expect a DD win from the team with the MVP.

Here's my take on this and I'm wearing a Kobe Laker jersey right now. If the lakers lose in the 1st half by 7 or more. Spurs will win this game.. DO NOT bet on the lakers at halftime.. I did last game and won.. If it happens again SPURS will win. If the Lakers win tonight.. They will cover. No action for me tonight.. I'm just going to sit and enjoy the game.. ONLY action I would put in is if SPURS is leading by halftime by more than 7. I will go and bet for the +spurs at the half.

Last loss affected spurs mentally. It wouldve been better of them to have lost by 20. They had that game and threw it away and they know it. I like the Lakers to win the series hands down.

Spurs ended last game soft/tired. Unusual to catch them in that space in the playoffs. Won't happen tonight. The Spurs are mature and know themselves. The Lakers are much younger. They are still developing, and may think they know themselves. But they don't. Ginobili will show up tonight, after a horrible game 1.

So yes, the Lakers will lose A home game. And along with that probably the series.

Anybody who really thinks the Lakers aren't winning by 10+ tonight simply doesn't know basketball.

There's the kiss of death...

It may be hard for Spurs to get past Salvatore, who has a 51-24 SU home/away record for the season. The other zebras for tonight combine for a 82-76 home/away record.

Salvatore this season is worth 4.9 pts for the home team (minus the average MOV for home teams).

It's simple, if Kobe would have played the way he did in the second half in the first half, the Lakers would have been up comfortably at halftime. If you read Kobe's comments about the game, he said he did all of that INTENTIONALLY. If you take away the once in a lifetime slump the Lakers had to start the third, the Lakers STILL would have won easily. Lakers roll in this one.

It might not be tonight, but I think San Antonio will win one in LA eventually.

Please all the Laker haters line up to the right and get slapped with the Left. The LAKERS DID not and WILL not lose at home. Put a fork in the Spurs they are done. I'm tired of hearing the Spurs are this the Spurs are that, they are over rated. Sure they have experience, but what does Kobe have, Sure the Spurs have won Championships, what does KOBE have. You must remember one thing too the Spurs first championship has a * next to it, it was a strike shortened season. Enough of that the Spurs have a shot and only a small one of winning 1 home game this series, the LAKERS smell and taste Blood in this series and will finish it up real quick.
Yes the LAKERS are young but not that young, and the Spurs are OLD and yes that OLD. How can you give up a 20 point lead one day and get Blown the F' out the Next. The LAKERS are putting on Clinics in their series, DENVER, UTAH, and now these old farts. For all the San Antonio fans suck on this Phil Jackson is 40-0 in the playoffs after taking a 2-0 Lead in a Series. Next Stop Home Court Advantage and the Pistons. As much as I would love to see Boston and the LAKERS, don't think it's going to happen.
I mean Come on 30 point's. I called it during the game to my season ticket holder neighbor in the staples center, I said bro we are going to win by 30, and I told him at half time sure I had a couple of in me but not enough to cloud my thought. Cheer Up SPURS fans/Laker Haters there's always next season, unless 1/2 the team retires.

We will see. It looks like the Spurs may have a hard time moving on from one hard fought series to the next. So far, you're in the exact same position as New Orleans fans after two games.
