Default Trying a progressive system

I've been following the "worlds greatest nba system" which has not lost a selection in over 10 years... until tonight! I thought it was b.s. so i decided to try it out. Since I started using it, it was 15-0 until tonight(15-1). They use a series of picks as 1 selection(up to 3 games per selection & can have 3 selections going on at once). For expamle: I pick game 1 of a selection. If it wins i profited and move on to a new selection. If it loses i move to game 2 of the selection and bet enought to cover my loss. If this loses I move to game 3 of the selection. According to the system Game 1 wins 62%, Game 2 85%, and Game 3 100% because they "never lost a series in 10 years". So i will try to match these percentages.

For each game you buy 3 points.

Not sure if anyone would like to follow, but your thoughts are welcome. I will post my picks every day.

Is this the non-conference road 3D chase?

On a side note, but has to do with the Laker game. I noticed Gerald Wallace didn't play against the Pistons. Is he playing against the Lakers?

As expected, Gerald Wallace was not in action for the Bobcats on Sunday, sidelined after aggravating a strained muscle in his right foot.

Wallace is day-to-day, but he's already aggravated the injury and the Bobcats could play it safe, opting to keep him out until after the All-Star break.

I'm thinking they'll sit him and let his injury heal. This is a similar situation with Butler. I don't see G-Wall playing tomorrow.

What i'll do is wait for all the lines to come out and post around 12 or 1 pm est. I still think the lakers -5 now is a great play. The system i was following still plays the pick if the line moves half a point or even a whole point. Last night the line moved -1.5 against the system pick and they still played it. So ill post the updated lines later.

My plays for 2/11 (lines after buying 3 points)

Selection#1 (Game#1) Lakers -5

Selection#2 (Game#1) Rockets -4.5

Selection#3 (Game#1) Clippers +7

At the time of this post these lines are from The Greek.

Hopefully i can start this thing off with some W's!

Default question

so do you do a parlay with the three teams or single bets and just by 3 points for each.

you single bet each game and buy 3 points. If i lose game 1 of the selection i will move to a game 2 and bet enough to cover my losses. and if that loses i will move to game 3.

Hopefully i can do as good as the system i was following so i wont have to go past a game 3. If anyone wants to follow this system i would suggest waiting a few days to see how this turns out.

Here is my analysis, which was written when line was +8:

Myr10,

Don't believe the hype. I know you are going to do this anyway, so, let me give ya some numbers. Using the 3 game progressive system and buying 3pnts in the NBA from The Greek. At $110 to win 100 starting the first play. If you lose one set of three, that will cost you around $3180.10 and that third bet will be around $2255.00 which is close to the $3000.00 maximum bet size at The Greek. So, if you manage to go 60-2 for the season, you will still have lost money. Buying three points is a very expensive proposition. Do your homework and back check the plays for at least the last 3years according to the formula they go by. Remember, $3180 is a lot to lose for a $100 gain.

Good Luck

They are three different strings that start all at once.

If string one wins.. its a winner
If string two looses.. Double on the next string game tomorrow.
If string three looses.. Double on the next string game tomorrow. (not the same game as string 2)

I dont really know what system they used or how they got their picks. I just get 1 or 2 picks almost everyday from them, some picks which were very questionable. So i decided im going to try my own picks using their same format. I dont really have a system on how i got these picks, I just look at the teams injuries, and how they have been playing, and pick who i think will cover the spread. I'm going to try it out and hopefully profit.

I just made this thread so i can have somewhere to track my picks and see how i do. Maybe it will bring me good luck.

Ah, well in that case. If this doesn't work out for you, since you have to go 32-1 in order to win around $20, you might try just doing the same thing, but without buying the 3 pnts. As you would only need to go 9-1 to earn a profit.

I wish you well in your future endeavor

I just calculated that if i bet enough on each game to make a $25 profit, 1 selection loss would cost about $467 so i would have to 19-1 to have profited.

Lets see how this turns out. I think i might go with your idea DukeJohn and take the lines with out the 3 points.

Selection#1 (Game#1) Lakers -5 W

Selection#2 (Game#1) Rockets -4.5 W

Selection#3 (Game#1) Clippers +7 W

Not a bad way to start off (3-0)

This is the stupidest thing I ever heard of. And with some of the posters we have around here that is saying something.

This is why it is stupid. You have to go 19-1 to profit.

If i am betting to profit $25 per selection after 19-0 i would be up $475 but 1 loss would almost wipe out the profit. The idea of this system is not to lose. I was using the so called "best system in the world" http://www.**************.net/ and they claim to have never lost in 10 years but have lost on back to back nights(2/10 & 2/11). I am merely using the same format but using my own picks. I am hoping that i can profit on every selection and not lose.

Well, that is my point. If you can pick 19 winners with no losses you are better off to bet using the kelly criterion. Any system that relies on "not losing" is going to fail.
