I see the Cavs are -2 for game 3. I don't know about you guys, but I gotta like the Spurs ML here. The Cavs have shown me absolutely nothing in these first two games that leads me to believe that they can win this pivotal game 3 match up.

I'm taking out a loan and betting the Cavs ML with every penny I can find. Cavs +2 is a joke. They should be at least -3 in this one. The NBA won't allow them to lose this game.

Series won't be coming back to San Antonio. Cavs may win game 3 or 4, but that's it. I'll probably skip game 3. If the refs hand out a couple of quick fouls against Duncan and Parker it could be a game.

Cavs don't belong here, completely outclassed. SA ML for me and again for game 4 to complete the sweep, as much as I hate the Spurs.

Dan, both Pinnacle and Greek have had the Spurs favored all day. They still are.

Even as a Spurs fan, I semi-agree with this point. I think you'll see some "questionable" officiating, a 3-1 FT ratio advantage for Cleveland, some cheap fouls on Duncan and a Lebron explosion that will get everyone interested again. I probably won't be playing game 3, except for the under. Without the shaky officiating, the Spurs will win and win decisively. There is simply no other way a one man team beats the best 5-man defensive unit in the league. Even with the shaky officiating, I'm not sure they can beat the Spurs. I know the league would love it, the fans would love it, but I just don't know how much tampering would have to be involved in order for Cleveland to be able to beat S.A. in a meaningful game (again, please don't throw the "they beat SA in the regular season" argument out, as it is completely irrelevant. Those games occurred before S.A.'s current incarnation/rotation had been established.) Remember, S.A. had leads of 22 and 29, respectively, in games 1 and 2. In typical spur fashion, they took their foot off the gas and cruised in the 4th quarter both times. In Cleveland, they will be focused for the entire game (well, unless they get a 20+ point lead, in which case they'll go into cruise control again).

You know, I have "Who's Next" and I always thought "Baba O'Riley" was spelled "O'Reilly". Now I can't figure out why I ever thought that.

Dan,
Look at the the history you posted, the Cavs opened at +2 at Pinnacle, not -2. In fact, Cleveland was favored for all of 2 minutes (11:47 to 11:49), and that was by just 1 point. The Greek opened Cavaliers at -1.5, which lasted for a about an hour before they became dogs. The +5 "opener" there is bogus as that line never existed, at least not on the regular side (maybe a prop?).

Razz,
You would think Baba O'Riley would be spelled Baba O'Reilly wouldn't you? I thought the same damn thing after I noticed Pearl Jam covering it and listing it on several of their bootlegs. I thought "Whoa, couldn't they at least spell the name right out of respect for Townsend and co.?" Then I looked through my vinyl and saw the Who spelled it that way too. very weird. Then again, not much normal about the Who or late '60's early 70's rock/psychedelia/punk cultures in general... As for this game, I've already shifted my mind about 25 different times on this. On one hand, I completely expect lopsided officiating on a level that we haven't seen in a few weeks, at least. I fully expect Lebron to dump in 35 or so, and do it in an efficient manner thanks to the 15 FT's he'll inevitably attempt. So, I'm fairly open to wagering AGAINST my Spurs in game 3. But then I think about the coaching matchup and just get pale and clammy thinking that I may bet on a team coached by Mike Brown. I mean, can he even capitalize on home court advantage against the Spurs, who aren't really fazed on the road? Will he insist on playing Hughes for more than 8-10 minutes? Will he put Parker on his ass (this should have happened about 15 times in games 1 and 2) when he runs layup drills around whoever is guarding him? Will he quit double-teaming at all of the most obvious points, allowing wide open shots from every angle from every Spur with range? Will he figure out a way to motivate Lebron to take it to the hoop, repeatedly? And if it gets down to a close game in the 4th, do I really want my money riding on his decision making? I mean, this is a guy who just almost killed his team in that Detroit series (especially the double OT game when he used timeouts as if he had an unending supply at the end of regulation--that game should have never got into the first OT). This is a Cavs team who got lucky enough to play a depleted Wizards team in round 1, an aging Nets team in the second round, a severely disjointed Pistons team that truly looked like a miserable team in the East Finals... A team that avoided Chicago and Miami (both of whom would have presented severe problems in a 7 game series, especially Chicago). I just don't know what to make of this game 3 at this point. Everything makes me lean towards Spurs, but the officiating could completely change everything... Without the officiating concern, I'd be all over SA. But the officiating is a very, very legit concern at this point. |

Spurs are so much better than the Cavs. I would say that 6 teams from the West would beat the Cavs in a series.
game 1 Cleveland 76 San Antonio 85 max diff 22pts game 2 Cleveland 92 San Antonio 103 max diff 29pts With the Spurs relaxed in 4qtr of both games Now for game 3 SAS -1,5 Cleveland has no one to match the trio of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli The Spurs are just too experienced and balanced for Lebron James and the Cavs. I would actually go as far as saying that this series end in game 4 Last edited by Mistaflava; 06-11-07 at 11:57 PM.. |

eriffic,
Just go with either one of the sites listed between #2 and #5 in the Poster's Poll on the upper right corner of this page, or with 5 Dimes. Forget about Bodog and Superbook.
