Default Heres a reason to take a shot on Utah in game 3

The Jazz haven't been swept in a playoff series since Golden State beat them 3-0 in the opening round in 1989.

Yeah, I think Game 3 will be a comfortable win for the Jazz.

I think you're on to something Dan. The common denominator in this statistic is HC Jerry Sloan. Nice find on this angle.

Houston's dominated so far but I don't expect them to sweep.

So if Houston does win game 3, do you unload on the Jazz in Game 4?

NEVER

If a team is demoralized, they might give up

Then you would have to expect a sweep, right?

That doesn't mean the Jazz cover the spread...

Has everyone forgotten this? Just about a week ago the Jazz played at home against a McGrady-less, Ming-less (Battier and Alston played no more than 12 minutes, Motumbo didn't play at all) Rockets team and just barely covered the -7.5 spread: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270418026

How in the world does everyone expect Utah to cover -4.5 with the Rockets going full throttle and full speed ahead?

Short of McGrady and Ming both getting in foul trouble or the refs or Rockets just handing Utah the game... I can't see Utah covering -4.5.
