for just over a week now and i have been fortunate in winning 6 of 7 teasers....i ave noticed not too many people play the teasers here...why is that???...i have nothing but good fortune with these bets in the nba..makes things verrrry attractive especially in the monster teaser ....so whats up on this bet bro's...no one likes them????thnx and good luck to all....oh by the way..i've hit 74 % on my 2 tm 4.5 pnt teasers at 1:1 odds this yr always sticking to a 100-150 wager price for a profit of approx. 7250 thus far this nba season...again luck to all..NYG OUT!!!!

I personally think teasers are the worst bet on the board, especially the NBA. I do like them in college football if you can get past a key number. Go back and look at your bets this season (if you keep track) and see what you would have hit by playing them straight up or as parleys. In the NBA especially if a team loses they often lose big and the number does not come into play. For teasers to work in the NBA you almost always have to have the right side of the bet and you probably would have won anyways without paying the extra juice.
Where I play, bookmaker, they only offer 5 point -110 2 team teasers. So by playing straight bets I'm looking at +200/-10/-220 and you are looking at +100/-100/-100. Over the long haul the first scenario pays better money. And if you are hitting at a 74% clip you'd be much better off with straight bets and parleys. Either way good luck and keep up the good picks. |

I'm just not a teaser type of player personally Mr.Giants. I know the math guru's feel there is an advantage to those types of plays, but I respectfully disagree with them on that. Maybe it's just because I'm too old school or what have you, but I still feel there are a sucker bets.

I know some people that do 4 team round robins that play parlays ok, but that is about it. As a whole though Round Robins and Teasers are sucker bets. I can understand Teasers more during the football season, but during basketball season not a very good play mostly, because like bside said if you look at the results you probably would have covered without the teaser anyway. For such a horrible payout percentage it doesn't equal the value.

Hate to run counter to the group, but I find teasers to be invaluable, in either sport, as long as they are played correctly.
