Been on a little roll lately with the NBA so thought I would step it up a little bit. This will be my biggest play of the season for awhile.. I don't bet 5 units on a game too often but this wager I believe merits it.. Also this play is an avatar play and those have been on fire lately!!!

Also it's my birthday on Tuesday and I believe Luck is on my side..

The Spurs own the Clippers!!!!

Clippers have dropped nine of their last 10 matchups with the Spurs.. The Clippers simply do not matchup well versus the Spurs.

I love my Clippers but there is something psychologically wrong with them when they play the Spurs..

Now the Spurs are as solid on the road as they come on the road
(8-3) 98 off/90 def so them playing on the road should be a non factor in here.

Spurs just lost to the Lakers so expect them to be focused as they won't want to lose 2 in a row.

My first post here, but is anyone factoring in the Spurs issues with the second half of back-to-back games?
L @ Houston to 21 (preseason so doesn't count)
L vs. Cleveland by 7
W (and covered) at NY by 12, but the game was MUCH closer
L to Charlotte by 3
W by 9 vs. portland
L. G.S. by 9

This is a trend that was evident last season as well. I don't know about throwing 5 units down on a back-to-back with the Spurs. Granted, it's a short travel, but I'm weary.

No travel, then. LA to LA. Staples to Staples. Point is, the Spurs are an older team and do NOT play well on the second half of back-to-backs. Period.

Guys I understand where your coming from but you need to understand the psychological reasoning into this play.

The Spurs have owned the Clippers forever

The Spurs (15-6) own a 30-4 record against the Clippers (10-9) since Dec. 10, 1997

This matchup is horrible for the Clippers..

Spurs- Better offense,better defense,better 3pt shooting,better rebounding,less fouls,less turnovers,more consistent play..

Living in Los Angeles I follow the Clippers close and know this is usually a bad matchup for them, The fact the Spurs lost last night turned a 3 unit play into 5 because of the motivation factor.. No travel last night as well..

IMGV, I've been following your picks on NFL games and you've been on a roll for the most part. I live in San Antonio, so between the two of us, I think we probably have our bases covered. I guess the good news is that Duncan appeared to get a little emotional last night---always bodes well for follow up performances. I may make it a small 3 unit play, but with a small hedge on an adjusted Clips by 3.5 line.

San Antonio is 8-13 straight up and 7-14 ATS last 2 years on the 2nd night of back to backs vs 22-11-1 ATS on the road with rest.

Obvisouly the no travel here helps.
