Leans for Saturday 2/21/09 International Week
Okay for today, I like the
Washington Wizards+8.5
Warriors-7.5 (buying a hook to get under the key number)
Washington Wizards -.5 -105 2nd half (added play)
Warriors-5 2nd half (added play)
I will be back later on to do the write up.
I will not list the JM System plays or the Secret Plays. Those plays are exclusive and if you already know the criteria feel free to play them, if not don't. I will not list either of these types of plays anymore nor talk on either of them, just know that I play both as usual. There will be no commentary about either of those types of plays by me. Be selective and play them smartly, and most of all, blame yourself or pat yourself on the back, as you assume all the risk playing games on either of those systems. That ends our station break, and now back to regular programming as usual.

DAL seems to be a decent play. SAC sux on the back to back situation and also they are short-handed right now due to the trade. K-Mart played most of the time against MEM last nite. They should be tired.

i like the mavs to get me my money back plus some tomorrow, even though i don't know what they'll be laying. if they fail to cover against the kings, i'm not only blacklisting them, i am putting a hit out on mark cuban. i have had the darndest luck with the mavs all season.
jazz looking solid as well. warriors and the over in that one will probably make it onto my card tomorrow in addition to all of that.
had kind of a crap/break even-ish kinda night when i shouldn't have. looking to come out on top tomorrow. best of luck to all.
edit: screw the over, doesn't look bad, but it's not really necessary. it'll probably hit, though, now that i say screw it.

CK, why do you like the Warriors? I know they're a good team at home and I know you're buying down to get below the key number but the Thunder are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings against Golden State with 3 of those games actually being straight up victories. I'm curious to see your write-ups tomorrow.

i think it's a great time to fade the thunder on a back to back, especially with the letdown after that vetoed trade. golden state wants revenge for that last second durant-based win and the books are just dangling points to tempt those who have been cashing on OKC to jump in again. GS by dd.
GS-7.5
utah is hot right now... they have AK back and have two enormous confidence building wins at home this last week and a half and now is the time to buy on them to hold court in one of the hardest places to play in the NBA. Not to mention that the horny's are off a back to back that went OT against the red hot lakers and play the lakers closer than the jazz. NO will have a good 2nd half IMHO, but nows not the time to play them. Respect salt lake.
UTAH -7.5
I may stick to these plays or i may make a couple smaller bets, but for now i will be tightening my belt and playing just two.
also will be hitting hockeytown's plays hard, wow he's on fire. Good stuff man.

sat - 2/21/09
ak47 is back, and the jazz are starting to roll. the hornets will be on not only a btb, but have to play their 4th game in 5 nights traveling to utah. the jazz will be rested off of their win vs boston (screw the boston hex in this one). the jazz are 5-0 ats the last 5 home games vs no winning by an avg margin of 22ppg. after the lakers pushed no in ot, this becomes an even stronger play. projected line -5.5
-jazz (big)

the warriors catch the thunder on a btb in oak, and rested off of that tough laker game they let slip away. gs should be seeing red, and place down the hammer nellie style on sat night. projected line -6.5
-warriors

Nice to see that I'm in consensus with the board. Been out late last night, but taking a look at tomorrow's lines and I'm already on the Jazz -7.5 and GSW -7.5. Go, CK Mafia, Go!

Hi all,
Just saw the matchups today, and boy oh boy am I excited!!!!
Utah had that great win against Boston, face NOH on a b2b after an overtime, plus they will want to win it for Larry Miller. NOH are only 2-11 ATS as an underdog this year, Utah are 6-1 ATS in games this month, Utah are 6-2 straight up against NOH over the last 3 years, NOH were thumped by Utah 116-90 earlier this season and have lost 5 straight in Utah. Expect more of the same tonight
Pick: Utah -7.5 to beat New Orleans @ -110
BOL!

Utah owns the hornets at home and with them coming off a tough overtime game against the Lakers, I see the Jazz crushing them tomorrow. Dex has all the ATS records lately and with Kirilenko back Utah rolls.
Utah biggest play (HUGE)
I disagree with Dex and CK on the Warriors, I do not think the btb affects them as much since they are such a young team. These two teams played a month ago @GS and the Thunder won the game at the buzzer(I watched the game) The Thunder have covered four straight @GS and the road team is 8-1 ATS last 9. The line is currently 8.5 and I see the Thunder keeping it close and maybe losing by 5 or 6.

Hi all,
One solid tennis pick today in the women's tournament in Columbia.
Pick is: Patricia Mayr to beat Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez @ odds of 2.30 (+130)
Why? Yesterday Mayr crushed a clay dog in Olaru, and whilst Sanzhez is good on the dirt, i think she's more an allround player and Mayr is more suited to the clay surface. Mayr is 42-14 on clay in the last 12 months, 68-15 all surfaces. Sanchez only 17-7 clay and 36-20 all surfaces. Sanchez beating a less formidable opponent yesterday going to 3rd set tie-breaker. Look for Mayr to own Snhchez

definitely liking the warriors big tomorrow. my current resident team will blowout the thunder in the back end of a back to back road trip for OKC in which they will not be able to keep up with high octane offenses for two days in a row. i'll be at oracle to cheer them on live. monta needs to have his comeback game sometime and i hope this is it.

Got lucky today with the game going to overtime, but a win is still a win. On to tomorrow:
line: noh@uj 199
pick: 199 under
Head to head trends:
- The under is 6-2 in meetings for the past 3 seasons.
- The under is 3-1 in meetings at the Delta Center for the past 3 seasons.
The Hornets just came off an overtime b2b game versus an elite team. Add that to the fact that they will be playing their "4th game in 5 nights" (to quote Dex). They should be feeling very weary right now and tomorrow they play in a high altitude city. This promises to be an ugly game for the Hornets. They will encounter brick after brick while the Jazz hound them with their defense. Expect a blowout game tomorrow not reaching the total line.
