Default Leans for CK's Hangover 1/3/09

Oh my God! I will give no other play than Houston +whatever PC Play. I don't know what else to say. Quadruple up on your money boys and girls. 7up if you had the Rockets the night before and the Bobcats. Easily the potential biggest payday of the year for the Missus in terms of what she is putting up.

Houston Rockets + 6.5 (with a point buy to get over the key number) PC Play (Heavy)
Charlotte-1 (Styles play) Triple up on her behalf (Heavy)

Other notables San Antonio-9.5 (small)

Sixers are out of gas homies, and the Spurs have lost 2 straight ats, meanwhile the Sixers have alternated covers in their last 4 games. The Spurs can see new orleans in the rear view, so they can take this one seriously. With no presence in the post, the Sixers don't stand a chance in this one. Their defense isn't good enough!

College Football

Connecticut-6.5 (small)
Connecticut-4 1st half (small)

NFL

Arizona+1 (Small)
San Diego+1(small)

Both NFL plays light homies for the Houston PC Play

The Missus is hell bent on getting her money back with a Triple up bet for the Bobcats-1 so obviously this is her biggest wager of the year, so i have to follow suit.

I know about the back to back games rule ...take the team that loses the first game in the 2nd game...but the Bucks smacked em down sooo bad ....man, I just dont know...I usually love the Styles plays but Im gonna have to sleep on this one..

PC Play, hey CK?!

So if my betting account has 590odd in it, would a put about 3/5 or half of it on the PC Play?

Hope you have a great recovery day tomorrow!

Oh, so far 90% of the public are on the Bucks after tonights blowout, so it might be worth waiting a bit to get some plus points on the Bobcats.

buffalo is 7-0 ats as dogs this year, and while i'm tempted to grab the points - i cant after seeing n. illinois, cmichigan and wmichigan's bowl results. i'm not about to lay 6.5 pts with a cold uconn team either - instead, i'll play the low. uconn boats one of the best defenses in the nation, and both teams have stud running backs in donald brown and james Starks. i cant see buffalo putting up more than
3 TD's vs the Huskies. Something like 24-20 Uconn.

*under uconn
_________________________________
arizona home games have gone over in 7 of 8 this year. the falcons should have no trouble running all over this defense, and warner will be tough to stop at home, esp vs a bad pass defense (atl ranked 22nd vs the pass) tough call on the side, as seeing a home dog (one thats been good ats at home all year) can be enticing - but the falcons are a much more *playoff* type team. for now, i'm just going high/large.

*over falcons (large)
______________________________
great game - tough call on the side as both teams have been hot to end the year. hard to against manning, but even harder to go against a redhot rivers at home. the way these offenses have been playing to close out the year, i'll ride this game over the total. manning runs a no huddle on most plays, and sd at home should have no trouble putting up pts on this defense.

*over colts
_____________________________
nuggets playing their first home game after a 4 game east coast trip - both teams are on back to back, but i like no to make it 2 straight in denver this year.

*hornets
_____________________________
spurs are poor back to back ats team (1-6), and i like the younger legs of the sixers to once again play the spurs tough at home.

*sixers

Kinda worried about the Charlotte game. I feel the Bucks just have the Bobcats number. Now 3-0 against them this year. I made the mistake of picking Atlanta against New Jersey, feeling Atlanta would revenge their previous two losses this year, but it became 3-0 New Jersey as well. Maybe a small play, but these are dangerous. GL.

The carry over effect works both ways. When team is bad defensively it shows up in the next game, and when a team plays well defensively it shows up. The Sixers gave up 56 2nd half points last night, and the Spurs gave up 40. It's the Texas triangle homes. The Sixers are a sub .500team. That alone shows that the Sixers got tired while the Spurs got stronger in last night's action. I am going to take the Spurs in the 1st half and the game tomorrow. The Sixers won the 1st half in last nights' game. This is the Sixers 6th game of a 6 game road trip. Damnit it goes down. They won't be so lucky in this affair. Spurs 1st half BIG, game BIG. Either eway, I'll get one of them cashed or both!

Added plays:

San Antonio-5.5 1st half BIG
San Antonio-9.5 Buying a pont) BIG

I have also put a blowout alert on the T-Wolves. If I was the police, i would put out an all points bulletin that the Bulls will blow the T-Wolves out by 20 because they won last night and fit a bad 45-13 situation because of it when you combine their record with the amount of covers that they have had on thier streak (4-1 ats) , and their road ats record against Chicago (1-4 ats). Ummmhmmm. Bacon is sizzlin'.

What's up with the Charlotte pick? Charlotte is mediocre, while the Bucks are HOT and you're taking Charlotte as a favorite!??!?

Is somebody injured? Something I should know about!?! I'm confused

ck,

been reading your threads for weeks. thanks for all the info, it has helped me become a better bettor with money management. in regards to hou, i just wanted to input that tmac probably will not play tomorrow (might e a good thing cuz hes a black hole and seems disinterested). also shane is out, with that their size is very small at the 2 and 3 now. i watch all the rockets game since i am from here, i do see inconsistency but i might have to follow your lead since if it looks too easy then it probably the wrong side.

love the spurs for the same reason
feel the same way about chicago to me they are their record will deceive a lot of bookies like ourselves. they took a big loss yesterday also. they want a W real f'n bad. Min T wolves got the W yesterday. 2 in a row for them ? i dont think so

take a look at SACRAMENTO in indiana. The pacers got the last basket win against ny last night. they are improved but last night Sacramento almost beat detroit! Stucky had 38 points and kept them in. I like sacramento getting 8 points? ?

Denver is looking good to me again right now. New orleans got the big win yesterday ?

right on with the NFL CK.

zona went 6-2 at home, atlanta at only 4-4 on the road. Zona had to play the NFC east and AFC east (2 of the strongest divisions in their conference), atlanta got to play the NFC north and AFC west (2 of the weakest divisions in their conference). Atlanta's road wins were in green bay, san diego, minnesota, and oakland. atlanta has bad run D and mediocre pass D. While the cards still may not run much, boldin, fitzgerald and breaston will kill atlanta in the short AND deep game with yards after catch. Their Defense even tends to show up at home. Atlanta wins on the road by making teams play from behind. Zona likes to score early at home and is solid at comebacks at home. Add to all that, i love the cards as home dogs and think they have lulled the public into thinking them bad and atlanta has taken advantage of easy scheduling and good efficient use of resources along with minimizing mistakes. Home crowd is too much for matt ryan here and the cards have a better pass rush. Also, i like whisenhunt's playoff experience to help make sure the offense gets the job done.

ZONA ML

san diego just has indy's number over the years and if you look up the numbers between manning and rivers, rivers is actually better during fourth quarter comebacks, something he's done a lot of this year. and with homefield again for the chargers, i don't think manning gets the ball last here. A lot of people have the colts picked to hit the bowl again, almost overlooking the chargers. Also, while the colts have won more consecutive games (9-4), I think the chargers are peaking while the colts are towards the end of their run as they normally stop around 9 historically. Also, the chargers have been playing for their season for the last 4 weeks, so they are no stranger to facing elimination.

SD ML

I am playing line movement as it supports my findings and beliefs. ARI and SD had some RLM, BAL had line movement in it's favor, while i think the books just know they are going to take a hit on the philly vs minny game so they're keeping the line still to try and convince sharps to play the lack of line movement, but they know that minny backers are heavily biding their time here.

heavy on CHAR -1 though for the home to home effect, plus they owe me some money from their games in milwaukee.

Both NFL games today are now picks. 69% of the public on Indy and it has dropped 2 and a half points? This is telling me Gates and LT are healthy and will play.

the IND's game has been changed to 7:00....does it mean anything??

In MLB , this situation is always related to the some hot line.

linemaker must prepare to do something = =

CK - the spurs actually did cover last night - which is why i'm kind of against them tonight. they had their solid performance last night, now the old/tired legs kick in (1-6ats) for the spurs. If they would have lost last night - then i would probably be off this game.

I just snapped up Houston+6.5 with the PC Play
Yes I know fully well that T-Mac is out as usual
He is always hurt and this team hs learned how
to play without him over the years. They are
still to good of a team to be catching this many
points to any team.

Houston+6.5 (with a point buy to get over the key number)

I also just took Connecticut-6.5 with a hook buy as well as Connecticut-4 1st half. Buffalo is good, but they are not in Connecticut's league and defensively they will shut down whatever Buffalo is trying to do. Throw in the fact that the nation's leading rusher plays for UCONN and Buffalo gives up around 160 yards a game on the ground. Not good. Don't be surprised if this one gets out of hand by the third quarter.

wangichu,

I hit my first two college parlay of the day selections and lost yesterdays, so so far I'm above .500 lol! Trust me it will go below .500 quickly this week. But what i am doing is just going by linemovement and nothingelse. hell I don't even know the school mascot of some of these teams.

ATL is 14 - 2 @ home ... they beat CLE, etc. Think ATL will win and with 10 point difference. HOU is not playing very good last weeks ... I don't trust them. ATL didn 't dissapoint yet at home. I take ATL ML and spread

sry, but thats propably one of the worst posts i have ever read on sbr .
First of all the sd game absolutely has no rlm , the puplic is on the colts and the line went to -1 !?
And you shouldn't overthink the line movements or non movements by the books , the lines move according to the amount of money which is placed on one sider or the other .
The books have no clue who is going to win , they set their lines and try to get balanced action .
If most of the people percentage wise are on the eagles tommorrow,
hence the line doesn't move down to -3.5 ,
that does only mean the books have balanced action .
In that case this would imply that the fewer people, who are on the vikings just bet more money per wager .

When the news that T-Mac is out hit the streets last night, the line went up to 5.5, so of course that's close enough for me to make my line one where the hawks have to beat the Rockets by 8, which hasn't happened since 2006, and only once in their last 10 contests overall. Another thing that I like is that according to my search engine, I went all the way back to 1993 and only once where the Hawks favored over the Rockets by this many points (1997)(-7.5) and of course they failed to cover ats in that matchup as well.

jayc88,

You just pulled off two no-no's for this thread. The first transgression was to use ALL of wangichu's post instead of just pulling the bits that you had issues with, and number two, never label another man's work as worse than your own. Your points were fine and hold good weight, yet you didn't have to get your point across at the expense of making or attempting to make another persons point seem shallow. I think that both of you have good points. Just please if you would my brother, keep it clean. You don't know where we came from. That was an officially made man you had those remarks about. Now that may not mean anything to you, and for all intents and purposes it probably shouldn't. But it means something to us to have our thread stay clean. That's what the CK Mafia is all about. Good handicapping, but you did forget one other little thing....

What side are you on for those games?
