Nice job, Rake. I'll see if these predictions would match your May 16 predictions:
Celtics/Cavalier o179
Lakers/Jazz u215

One fears that the Hornets can manage an average of 25 points per quarter. And if the Spurs can manage say 22 per quarter, then we may be in for a scoreline of around 100-88, which could tip the total on the side of the over. Being the deciding game of the series, the sides might both come out blazing hot in the 1H. Expect a 1H total of around 110 and a 2H total of around 80-85.
I will watch out for the 1H total. If it's above 100, then I'll quickly grab the under for the 2H.
What do you guys reckon?

I have no reason to expect a 110 1st half featuring the Spurs.... That would surprise me

I appreciate your analysis and have to agree with you. All the same, I expect the 1H to go over 91.5 and the 2H to go under that. Let's say we have 1H and 2H scores of 23-21 and 27-23, respectively. That would tip the 1H total over. In any case, I expect a 1H over and a 2H under, and the game goes NARROWLY over. I know this contradicts your prediction but I fear we might witness moments of lax defending which could take the total score to somewhere around 185-188. The thing is, when Chris Paul is getting limited scoring opportunities, the rest of the team will "step up" to maintain a scoring level that will see the Hornets post a 3-digit score. I have no doubt that the Hornets will cover the spread comfortably. The game might be realistically won in the 3Q.
To be candid, I expect a score of around 102-86. The Spurs won't get a 90 and the Hornets will SURELY go over 95. The records support this notion.
We'll keep our fingers (and toes) crossed and see what happens.

I was right on the 1H over and 2H under in the Spurs/Hornets' last game.
I think that will happen again today:
Pistons/Celtics 1H over 87
Pistons/Celtics 2H under 87
