The oft-maligned Ricky Davis is actually one of the league's best and most versatile defenders. Look for him to face up against either Deng or Nocioni depending on who has the hot hand. There are also significant rumors that Minnesota is the most likely destination for Mr. Iverson. The Wolves have to feel like this is their best week thus far in the young season so look for a spirited effort although it will likely fall short.

This one was never really in question. The second quarter made things interesting from a numerical standpoint but the fact that Minnesota was able to push the lead out past double figures before halftime made it even more likely the second half would go low, which it did.

As predicted, Deng had a tough time collecting cheap points. KG also found it difficult to score consistently with Wallace roaming but the focus devoted to him allowed the other athletes on the team to get the job done. Ricky Davis came through with a very solid all-around game and the Wolves had 6 players in double figures. Chemistry is working for this team right now. Will that continue if AI joins forces?

These NBA matchups can get really interesting when West meets East. I wonder what a Sun Cat might look like...
