Default noob question abt ML betting...

    see pemalink

    and permalink

damn! i would have parlayed these together with a bunch of favorites that i picked BUT im too noob about ml betting. :/

i juzz read abt ML betting last night. still trying to learn it. and then bam! my pick showed up! i read i can parlay ml together with sides and totals but wasn't sure how it wrks at my book so i asked them. they said at their book i CANT parlay ml picks together with sides/totals picks. and that they only allow four positive (favorites) on it. so my question for u guyz are:

online betting would allow ml parlaying together with sides & totals?
how many positives do they allow?

    and my biggest noobie question.

is it normal to parlay 6-8 games? example 1 or 2 positive on it together with a bunch of faves. i dont wanna look too greedy or noobie in front of the sportbook writer. :P

please give some feedbacks about ml betting. coz from what ive seen in this forum, it seems to be lucrative! :P altho keep in mind i dont bet online (yet) and still a noob!

I use Betjam right now and can parlay up to 15 teams...any combo of ML's, Sides, Totals, etc that you want to. I imagine that all major books are this way. I am more of a teaser guy (if you have not noticed yet) than a parlay guy because I hate losing a big parlay by .5 or 1 point so I feel that the smaller payout is worth the cushion for me. 6-8 teams is a lot but fun to take a shot at for low money as long as you have it covered by solid bets for more money...looks like you have that under control.

Most online books will let you bet just about and combos of sides spreads moneyline, the best site for having a moneyline on just about everything(meaning basketball and Football) BETUS. The payout there is slow as hell but good parlays had some NCAA games at -10000 this year not that its worth betting that lol

I would have to say that The Greek is the best for ML's...they are up overnight on most occasions and post the huge lines as well.

thanks for the feedback diogee. i guess im the only one who bets the old way here??? at the sportsbook. crap! no wonder u guyz have more fun than i do. coz u guyz at least, can "chase" (i believe that's what its called) while im here waiting for another day to go to my book and bet.

Nothing wrong with sportsbook still use it actually, payouts are fast and use them for bigger bets. (only because they are trust worthy) shouldnt bet any ML unless your getting -200 or under depending on the game. Most Parlays are goner money anyways. Dont know to many people making a living of parlays.

Chasing is a bad bad thing though...usually ends up in losing more money trying to get back what you have already lost. I wait for the next day now but did chase on Sunday I believe...I was sick and pissed off. It ended up in an additional loss of 4 units.

ML parlays can be very profitable gm2022...there is actually a poster across the street that is up over 150 units this NCAA season playing primarily ML parlays.

yea but I really think, because theres so many degenrotes on here they have this nice 3 team parlay all ready to go. Example $100 to win 233 and all of a sudden, DAMM I can add Duke and it pays me 200 more bucks. I have watched it happen time and time again. all of sudden people have 5 bucks to there name and our laying 13 team parlays on there last bucks to get back even. Thats why I stay away, and go with whats worked for me. But Im sure it can work.

True that gm2022...I myself have added a fourth team to a ML parlay to get it to even money and it ends up biting me in the ass. Best off to just stick with what you were going to originally bet and take the lower payout instead of lose altogether.

All I can tell you Mudane is do what works for you, Only reason I hate ML is I have watched to many people lose money and arent even getting right odds in my mind on their money.(Im a math guy) Than they lose say 20 bucks of there 100 bucks stack there trying 50$ 3 teams to 6/1 their money cause they wanna make a profit(when all they are doing is chasing) doubling your initial bet amount any day of the week is a awsome day and any sports better(who knows what their talking about) will tell you that. Just stay within yourslef regardless of your betting style and youll be fine. Good luck

diogee u know how i did on tonight's games. so question...
with those 2 (warriors & bobcats ml) + 3 or 4 of my faves (ml betting on this case of course) it would have paid a decent amt right?

ahh thanks, gm2022! i actually am sticking to what's been working for me. i only asked abt ml betting coz of the rare positives that i see and im kinda "zoned in" on it to win the game SU. like what happened tonight - i was kinda "zoned in" on warriors and bobcats.

Tonight I did the Magic, Lakers, Spurs, and Bulls that paid +109. The same bet would have paid +349 with the Warriors and +578 with the Bobcats. With both it would have paid +1358. It would be best that if you did want to parlay dogs like that do a small parlay with both dogs then have each dog in a parlay with some favorites that have little chance of losing.

So would you be doing ML str up? or ML parlays more cause thats a huge difference just curious?

im getting some ideas now. thanks. keep them coming.

btw, itz not like im gonna bet ml from now on. i only wanna know how it wrks. coz on the rare possibility that i like a dog to win SU against a fave, i'd like to profit a little bit more.

it seems to be lucrative. that's all! im not opting on changing what's been working for me. im on + side with the ways ive been betting actually.

ml parlays - in the off chance that there's a dog i feel strongly would win SU!

btw i bet straight bets, round robin and i throw in 6-7 teamer (small bet) juzz for the heck of it.

Also if you like a dog enough that you like them to win SU it is never a bad idea to bet them with the spread as well...say 2 units on the spread and 1 on the ML or something like that so you still profit if they lose but cover the spread and have the added profit if they win as well.

I think all these are good idea as long as you stay way below the normal bet I think. No more than 1-1.5% of your bankroll tops

    sorry about the bold reply
i just wanna make u feel at ease ... and myself at the same time that so far my way of betting have been working for me. it juzz seems lucrative sometimes, i mean betting 20-50 bucks and winning somewhere from 100-1000+ bucks. and itz basically the same picks i have on my spread bets.

Just know it works maybe now, a month, a year, unless your the luckiest man in the world I just dont see your style working day in and day out for a + profit is all,(But ill never downgrade anyone for a winning style for them) unless your just doing this for fun lol. I do this for a living so I cant see that possible at all. But it is a great way to get a big bankroll started but dont rely on it.

oh i do this for fun. i like basketball.

i just started betting when gasol landed in LA and all of a sudden nba games got a LOT more exciting. i then decided to bet on the games just for fun. i DONT and WONT go overboard! :P

im around 60% if not higher on my picks. and on the plus side moneywise. *knock on wood*

juzz wanna know how to profit a little more while im on a roll. i dont go crazy. i even have some nights i dont bet just bcoz im not 'feeling' the games. :P i keep my profit and start all over again.

Good to hear and keep it that way, Im asuming your young and I dont wanna put ideas in your head but its not about your % you pick, (alot of people might disagree with me on this but it is true) more how make your bets on which games. Its good you dont bet on games if you dont feel it cause most would. Just a stat for I was just about at 48% this year on the nfl in games ATS. Made my biggest profit in the 5 years ive been doing this. (and yes it was + lol) Good luck gm2022
