Without Yao, this game is going to be close. I really would not even think of taking the rockets in this game. I think the rockets may not be motivated to play the gizzlies.

Portland +5 (h)
The lakers have won 10 in a row and the spread is seriously inflated. THe lakers are playing back to back games and Portland will be rested and ready to play. Portland is one of the best teams in the league covering half time spreads. The reason being is that they were underdogs for most of the season. Only concern for Portland is whether Roy will play. WIth or without him, Portland will take the lead at the end of the first half.

The lakers will run out of gas after winning ten in a row. All good things eventually come to an end. If this was not part of back to back games, I would go with the lakers. The oddsmakers have made the lakers a 9 point favorite (the spread is not up yet on most sportsbooks). Yahoo sports has the lakers as a nine point favorite. THe trailblazers will be rested and ready to play and need this game more than the lakers do. The lakers will give this one away like they did against the hawks in Atlanta. Its just a meaningless game for the lakers who will win the finals this season./
