Andris Biedrins

Warriors center Andris Biedrins is scheduled to have his appendix removed on Thursday and will be out for at least a week as he recovers from surgery.

Biedrins toughed it out during Wednesday's game, finishing with 21 points and 13 rebounds, but his condition deteriorated and he was diagnosed with appendicitis this morning. Grant Hill just had the same procedure performed and returned in 11 days. Coach Don Nelson said Chris Webber and Austin Croshere will get more minutes, along with younger players Patrick O'Bryant and Brandan Wright. Expect Al Harrington to benefit, as well. Andrei Kirilenko is expected to play on Friday after missing Thursday's practice with the flu.
