    Arrow Portland Trailblazers

They are the hottest team in the NBA right now, winning 11 games in a row. We all know they have probably the best young talent in the NBA, but can they keep it consistent? Just how much better would this team of been if Greg Oden didn't hurt himself? Something to look forward to?

If Houston and Utah keep struggling I don't see why not the Blazers take their spot in the playoffs.

Utah's had a brutal schedule with more road games than any team in the league. They will still win 50 and finish in the 4 or 5 spot in the West, easily surpassing Portland in the process. Houston's troubles are a little more profound, but they, too, have had a terrible schedule.

I still don't think Portland finishes above .500. In the East, yes, but they're no higher than the 10th best team in the West and a year away from a playoff berth.

Hey RJT, I noticed last night on Inside the NBA, they were talking about Portland's run. Well, Charles agrees with you about the Trailblazers not making the playoffs.

Portlands lines are now going up. I'm still not sure what to do with tonights game, but I get a feeling the under is the way to go in it. I've been riding portland for a bit during this run.

even without oden, portland is full of first round picks that still have alot of ability.

Well, for the second straight game, the Blazers are being asked to lay more points tonight than they have all year. They just barely covered the 8 by a bucket last game, but I bet the T-Wolves +9 tonight.

Well they just made it 12 in a row tonight.

Sorry for that terrible non cover LT, you should of had that backdoor.

Make that 13 in a row.

They crushed the 76ers 97-72. Outscoring them 35-9 in the 4th quarter.

They have been super solid in the 4th quarter during this run. I am gonna start betting them more in the second half and fourth quarter from now on.

10 of the 13 during this streak were at home. 10 of their next 12 on the road. Fade away.

    Line from +7 to +8.5.

I must be missing something. How does a super hot team that just outscored Philly by 34 pts in the second half, and that has already beaten Utah twice, get that many points?

OK. It's the coaching thing. Portland coach is attending a funeral.

Portland was getting some really good lines because the linesmakers had underestimated them, I believe the lines have been over corrected now. Portland is now being overrated.

portland -5 vs t wolves i would take that overrated line anyday

If Portland loses to the T-Wolves, this is just gonna be NBA Heart trauma right here. Theres no way the Blazers are going 13 straight wins in a row, lose to the Utah Jazz and Lose there 2nd straight game to the worst team in the NBA. Not a chance.

Why portland is -5 is beyond me, but i went with them anyway

14-1 in the last 15. They just dropped the Timberwolves 90-79. They have a hell of a streak going. This road trip should show us where this team wants to go, or will go.

The Trailblazers have been hot but my numbers tell me they are not good. My take on them is that they have been lucky winning a few close games while their opponents were frequently missing key players. Dropping Timberwolves improves their record but I think they will end up under 50% anyway and therefore I will be fading this public darling for a while.

This team reminds me alot of last years Utah team. They went under the radar pretty much the entire season and ended up surprising alot people in the playoffs. Imagine if a team on the east got this hot, SportsCenter would have a two hour special before each tip.

I would compare the Blazers much to the NJ Nets. Nets got the talent and the defense, and hell they just posted a win against the Magic tonight as 6 point underdogs.

15-1 in the last 16. They just beat the Bulls in double OT 115-109. That makes them 2-1 currently on this road trip.

They go back home for a couple games then head out for their longest road trip of the season (11 day 7 games) It will be real interesting to see how they do here in the next two weeks.

They had another win, that's a fact. There are more things to consider, though. First, they were lucky to shoot 11-22 from beyond the ark. Second, they were lucky to win a very tight game in the last seconds. Third, they barely won the game in the second half while the Bulls were playing without their TWO best players. These are the reasons I am going to keep fading them.

How the Bulls blew that 14 point lead in the 3rd quarter tonight is still a mind boggler
