Jazz have won 3 in a row and Lakers have lost 3 in a row ... Game is in LA where the Lakers are 6-7 ... Tonights game is without Kobe so what am I missing here?

Kobe's not playing? I thought he was appealing his suspension. Even if he does play, I think this game goes way under, especially since the Jazz almost always go under on the second night of back to backs.

I hate games when the star player is out cause other players will get a chance to step up and carry the team at least for a little while. This is especially true in the NBA and in particualar the Lickers (Lakers) in that their "leader" takes so many shots that Lamar Odom and Smush Parker must be squeeling with delight that they are going to have a chance to be "the man" until "THE MAN" comes back from his suspension. One other thing about this game. The other team is the Utah Jazz. I know they play hard but they just don't score a lot of points. There are just too many variables in this game to make it a solid play one way or another.

You make some good points. However, with Kobe out the Lakers lose a potential, if not guaranteed 30 points. The others can and now have to stand up and contribute, but to what extent? Considering their play of late, will they be good for the extra 30 or so points (maybe more) needed. I hope so 'cos if they fall short, the Jazz +3 win. JMO.

There's going to have to be a lot of "stepping up" to do in this game as Kobe scores as many points as their 2,3,4 scorers combined ... Utah wins this game easily.

These 2 teams play each other Tues. night at Utah ... Kobe will be out again ... Will be interesting to see what the line is ... Lakers held in there pretty good Sun. night.
