very good call...lined seemed fishy to some but it looked fair...golden state is so unpredictable, and mavs are decent on the road. it all makes sense looking back. didnt bet the game myself but wish i had now.

You're the f*ckin moron for thinkin that wasn't a bad spot for the Mavs. I am light as can be, KU was the play of forever, but folks calling a lucky cover some good play can be called out before or after the game.

Don't be fooled by the books. Make the right choice.
This analysis dovetails nicely into my other thread about line moves. The "books" created a situation to trick people. Hmmmm.

How about this. Someone pounded the GS number at +4.5 and that drove it down to 4. Then someone thinking that Dallas-4 was a good number pounded that. And then they pounded it some more, and then some more until it went to Dallas -4.5 and then Dallas -5. A lot of people decided to bet Dallas and that drove the line up.

It could have been smart money, public money, steam money a combination of the three--who knows. But one thing is clear to me; money moved the line.

Here is something else to consider. Golden State sucks. I mean they really suck as a team. Sure they cover once in a while and they have some high scoring games, but you never know which Golden State is going to show up. All they have going for them is the outside shot. They don't even try to work the ball inside, and it seems that whenever they do try they blow a layup or turn it over. Live by the outside shot--die by the outside shot.

They are just a really, really shitty team.

Well, the news of Maggette being out gave the Mavs a half point swing, but the money pushed back...

I will agree, they are one of the worst teams the association puts on the floor, but this game was theirs for the taking. Mavs lived lucky on the jump shot all night. The game was handed to Dallas with 5 minutes to go. The Mavs shouldn't have won, let alone covered, another Warrior meltdown. Nice hit Mavs backers, but still a faulty call.

Mavs was a no brainer last night. The Warriors is my team and I know them well. If you can't see that the team is tanking then you are blind. They let Speedy Claxton go (an expiring contract, super valuable in the NBA) for a D-Leaguer. They have no intentions on winning but only making money. They have the worst owner in the league without a doubt. They're letting Monta do what he wants and they are not trying to win at all.

I can't wait to see the line for the Clippers game on Wednesday. Warriors will be another home dog. I can see their ATS record plunging until late March, when they know they can win a few games without effecting their lottery position.

But that's why you don't put money on an unreliable team like GSW to stay within 5 points of a superior team. GSW simply folded up in the last 6 minutes of the game and that's what bad teams do. Never put money on a team that don't know how to close out games!
