OutForSeason36's 2009-2010 NBA Player Props Season Thread
All season long I have been playing these things here and there and have been making out pretty good. I have not kept an exact record, but I will be doing so from here on out. Last night I started a thread and I went 5-0 +7.5 units. I will be posting all of my plays in this thread from here on out. Here are my plays for tonight:
Johnny Flynn o18 Pts+Asts (-115)- Flynn has been playing well as of late and I expect that to continue. Cleveland should have a comfortable lead throughout this game and may prove to be lackadaisical on the defensive side of the ball. Risking 1.15u to win 1u
Pau Gasol o28.5 Pts+Rebs (-135)-Since returned from his latest injury, Pau has been continuing to get better game by game. Indiana has a very poor defense and I see LA trying to exploit that using their bigs down low. Risking 1.35u to win 1u
Danny Granger o23.5 Pts (-130)-Granger was struggling immediately following his return from injury. He has picked things up as of late and has been shooting the ball much better. With Ron Artest banged up, I don't see the combination of him and Lamar Odom slowing down Danny too much. Risking 1.3u to win 1u
Michael Beasley o24.5 Pts+Rebs (-125)-In two games against Toronto this season, Beasley is averaging 24.5 PPG and 11.5 RPG. Risking 1.25u to win 1u
Chris Bosh o34.5 Pts+Rebs (-130)-I do not see Jermaine O'Neal or Udanis Haslem slowing him down tonight. He is averaging a combined 36 Pts+Rebs in their two matchups this season. Risking 1.3u to win 1u
Rudy Gay u19.5 Pts (-105)-With Tayshaun Prince back in the lineup, I expect to see him matched up with Rudy defensively. I think Detroit will make the other players Mayo, Randolph, Gasol, etc beat them. Risking 1.05u to win 1u
Zach Randolph o32.5 Pts+Rebs (-135)-He has been playing lights out the past few games and I do not see Detroit slowing him down tonight. Risking 1.35u to win 1u
Andre Iguodala o24 Pts+Rebs (-110)-The other A.I. has not been playing his best ball the past few weeks, but with the Bucks playing on a B2B, I expect him to take advantage of their lack on energy both on the boards and on the offensive side of the court. Risking 1.1u to win 1u
Brandon Jennings u23.5 Pts+Asts (EVEN)-Jrue Holiday has created playing time for himself with his lack of mistakes and defensive play. I see his quickness causing problems for Jennings, especially after the Bucks losing a tough game to Dallas last night. Risking .5u to win .5u
Nene Hilario u23 Pts+Rebs (-105)-Flynn has been playing well as of late and I expect that to continue. Cleveland should have a comfortable lead throughout this game and may prove to be lackadaisical on the defensive side of the ball. Risking .525u to win .5u
Trevor Ariza u15.5 Pts (-110)-Trevor started the season off on fire, but has since cooled off significantly. Although with the uptempto style that Denver plays, this could go either way. Should have stayed off of this one, but I'm going with the under. Risking .55u to win .5u
Tim Duncan u31.5 Pts+Rebs (EVEN)-This one stands out to me a bit. I see Al Horford creating problems for Duncan and don't see him going over in this one. Risking 1u to win 1u
Chris Paul o34.5 Pts+Asts (-140)-Golden State is really missing some key players. I see Chris Paul and company taking advantage of that and running with this one. Should be a high scoring contest. Risking 1.4u to win 1u
Stephen Curry o23.5 Pts+Asts (-140)-Stephen has been playing great the last few games and I see the Warriors relying on the hot hand in this one. Again, this should be a high scoring game. Risking 1.4u to win 1u
I had a couple of tough breaks last night with Stephen Curry taken out of the game with 5 minutes left and 15 pts, 8 asts. I could have easily won that one. Also, Brandon Jennings hit a jumper with 20 seconds left to break me on that one also. Tonight we should get back on the winning side of things. I will post my plays sometime this evening.
Never had a chance to post my plays from last night. I went 4-2, but will not include it since i did not get them in in time. Here the plays for Friday, January 29th:
***Johnny Flynn u27 Pts+Asts (-105)***- Just the other day I had this same line but it was at 18. Now it is 9 higher at a much better price? In 3 games this season against LAC, Flynn is average a combined 17 Pts+Asts/Gm. Seems fishy, but I'm going big on it. Only 3 times in 47 (6.4%)games this season has Johnny Flynn totaled 27 or more combined pts+asts. Risking 5.25u to win 5u
Stephen Curry o21.5 Pts+Asts (-130)-Over the past 7 games, Curry has averaged over 28 Pts+Asts/Gm. I'm taking the value here and see him going over. Risking 1.3u to win 1u
Tyreke Evans o27 Pts+Asts (-130)-He has been hot lately and Utah may be without Deron Williams. Should be a closer game than the projected 9 point line. Evans is the go to guy and can score from anywhere on the floor. Risking 1.3u to win 1u
Carmelo Anthony o25.5 Pts (-125)-He dropped 31 in their only matchup with OKC this season. On the season he is averaging close to 30 ppg. Hopefully his ankle does not limit him too much. Risking 1.875u to win 1.5u
Josh Smith o23.5 Pts+Rebs (-125)-See Above. Risking 1.25u to win 1u
Allen Iverson o13.5 Pts (-120)-At any point he could drop 8-10 points in one quarter. I just think this is tremendous value at this price. Risking 1.2u to win 1u
Andre Iguodala o22 Pts+Rebs (-145)-The other A.I. has been struggling the last few weeks, but yet his season averages are still over 24 Pts+Rebs/Gm. The Sixers tend to play up or down to the competition. With the Lakers coming to town, Philly should be up for the challenge. Risking 1.45u to win 1u
Stephen Curry o21.5 Pts+Asts (-130) Risking 1.3u to win 1u
Tyreke Evans o27 Pts+Asts (-130) Risking 1.3u to win 1u
Carmelo Anthony o25.5 Pts (-125)NO ACTION Risking 1.875u to win 1.5u
Josh Smith o23.5 Pts+Rebs (-125) Risking 1.25u to win 1u
Allen Iverson o13.5 Pts (-120) Risking 1.2u to win 1u
Andre Iguodala o22 Pts+Rebs (-145) Risking 1.45u to win 1u
Finished the night +0.5 units. Could have been a much more productive night, but any night that you walk away with more than what you had, you gotta feel good.
Andre Miller u15 Pts (-110)*I was only off by 37 Pts
Rudy Gay u19.5 Pts (-105)
Gerald Wallace o31.5 Pts+Rebs (-130)
Tyreke Evans o26 Pts+Asts (-130)
Finished the night -2 units. Can't win 'em all. Back to the basics tomorrow, maybe limit my plays to 3 or 4 to try and get the best lines and bang them hard.
