I was considering taking a pass today. There are only 3 games and all seem to have good lines.

I will take a 1/2 sized bet with the Pistons/Wizards Under 200 (-110) 5.5U to win 5U

The Pistons are one of the worst offensive teams but with the Wizards 103.25 OPP PPG they should be able to score more then usual. Also the Wizards have scored 98 or higher in 8 of their last 10 games. The Wizards will get the win (probably with around 100 points) but i dont think the Pistons will drop more then 97. The Pistons defense should hold the Wizards from a huge win but the any line with 197 and the Pistons is worth a bet.

have you found over/under picks more profitble? how do you decide the plays, I can never get on the right side of totals

I can't say i really have a proven system for picking my totals. I go on nba.com and look at the ppg totals for each the teams playing (http://www.nba.com/statistics/sortab...sortable1.html) as well as player stats and any injuries. also line movement is big with totals. if you see a line that alot of people are betting over on, wait it out and the line should go up a point or two. They have a good way of seeing the % of people betting on each Over/Under at http://www.vegasinsider.com/nba/ the table in the middle of the page on the right shows how the majority of the people are betting. If you follow the line movements you should see your results improve.
