    Default Cavs @ Hawks 12/29

So far the line is Hawks -2...

Who do you guys go wth on this one? Lets keep in mind they play again on Wednesday in Cleveland. Do the Hawks get revenge for the sweep in the playoffs of last year, or do the Cavs run them off the court again?

    - With all that said, I think I'm going to have to go with the Hawks. This game means a lot more to them then it does to the Cavs. They want to show everyone they can hang with the big boys.

i agree im going with the hawks on their home floor, and then rockin' out with cleveland when they get back home! thats the way to do it, both teams will protect their home floor

im thinking the hawks only -2 at home is very fishy. The public will be all over them. Lebron and Co can upset them so Im thinking the cavs or no play.

alamo....no disrespect and maybe im wrong but i would think joeQ will pound the shit out of cle -2...soon as that happens and this line doesnt budge i will be playing atl 4sure..if im wrong and public hits up atl no play but i think your of base here fans love lebron and lebron at a low number no way they dont bite

i was real impressed the way atl handled business in indy the other night leading into this game....i know indy is trash but that was bout as good a look ahead/letdown spot you could have had and they punished them..tells me they are focused and ready for this 1 been waiting on it for awhile im sure

You might be right. But Im thinking Atlanta -2 is just way too easy. I had this one capped at -6 or -7 esp against a Cavs team who have Mo questionable. Its just a little smelly to me and I think Vegas wants us to bite.I could be wrong , i could be right. I guess we will see tmoro

Line now moving from Atlanta -2 to Atlanta -2.5 so the public are already starting to bite on the Hawks. I think this will go all the way to -4. gl with whatever you play

Excuse me sir... Not to be rude, but the public is not betting ATL.. The public is asleep right now.. Players are betting that number. I know because I see how the "public" bettor thinks.. Not saying I am a pro, but I definitely know what the public is doing. Trust me jack.. I don't have a crystal ball and I can't give you the outcome, but it's "players" playing ATL.. Georgia!!!

The average john q public does not bet opening number.. They wait right before tip off usually.

couldnt agree more lyon...even with the small number of bets i see listed at sportsinsights its still at 77% on cle and id be surprised if that changed a whole lot by tip-off...alamo the big money moves lines not the % of bettors on a side so to assume that public is on a team based off line movement is absolutely wrong imo....as i said best of luck whatever you decide but its looking pretty clear to me if you capped the game at atl -7 it would be wise for you to trust your capping skills on this 1

Public is gone pound the Cavs. They think they're getting a steal at plus money. Plus the public still remembers the Cavs went to LA and blew out LA and most of the public would assume LA is way better than ATL when ATL at home is just as good as any team in the NBA. I say go with ATL.

IMO, This is a weak line. I'm going to watch the 7am (PST) show and then will almost definitely be on the Cavs big.

Hawks, line is so small because smith is probable, but his injury is a thumb - average dude says it doesn't matter if he is on the floor if he cannot shoot-however he doesn't take many jump shots anyways as he plays close to the rim.

hawks -2 is a cheap price to pay--better hop all over it--just hard to go against atlanta at home when they are hitting on all cylinders

I predict an Over for this game. Cavs won't make a strict defence today i suppose. I see an over before Cavs or Hawks, the 193 line is acceptable. Good luck to all...

**** everybody in here is on the Hawks, and everytime the board is on the same play it takes a shit. **** I just pounded ATL at -2.

It's impossible for the public to move the line to -2.5 last night. You know how much money it takes to move a line without marked players help?

I love ATL here.. they've had this game circled for a while I'm sure. And with how well Cleveland has been playing lately, they want to show they can hang around with the Best of the East, and no better place than at home. I think Hawks win here at home then Cavs take it on their home court.

lol. I've learned people associate posters w/ their avatars so in turn I'm a geek. I'd rather be a fan of a losing team than a geek

Explain to me how everyone can be all over the Hawks when the Cavs are the hottest team in the NBA right now and just beat the Suns, Lakers, and Kings all on the road? Betting line movements in this game makes no sense. The clearly better team is the underdog, jump on it.

Hawks are a very good team especially at home. You don't think they know who Cleveland has beaten this past week? You don't think they want to be considered an elite team in the East? Hawks win at home, Cavs win tomorrow at home
