I actually like the Mavs in this spot. I think J Kidd will take the matchup with Jennings personal tonight, and show him a trick or two that he has not seen. If Jennings fails to score 20 points, I don't see where the offense is going to come from. Sure the Mavs are on the back half of two straight road games, and they are 1-2 straight up in these spots this year. Sure they will be playing again without Dampier (no huge deal). I think Dirk Diggler has his way, like he typically does against the Bucks, and the Mavs win going away.

More hunch then anything, I just expect the Bucks to throw in a low energy performance after a great unexpected start to the start to the campaign.

P.S. I like the Hawks as weLL!

I did a quick backtest to last year, and found the Mavs were 5-5 straight up when playing the second half of back to back nights on the road.

They were able to win at San Antonio, Houston, Sacramento, Portland and Indiana. I was concerned that maybe the older legs of the Mavs might have affected them, but other then the Spurs, they beat younger teams. With the Mavs having a very similar team to last year, I'm not too terribly worried about the back to back.

I still like how the Bucks small lineup matches up with Mavs, since they don't have Dampier to man the middle. I see easier shots for the Bucks without Mavs only notable bigman. Also I love teams full of guys who are being coached hard, and have alot to prove. I'm sure they feel other teams dont respect them b/c of the make-up of their roster. Also without Redd this is a better team on both sides of the court.

We are going head to head tonight Reg. Lets see who wins.

That won't matter. The books are just trying to scare people off Atlanta. The spread will be at least 4.5 by gametime!

I just booked ATL at -3, -106. I can't believe I got such a good line/price here. Portland has won 4 in a row on the road, and I expect a letdown looking forward to geting back home to Portland. Yes 4 wins in a row, but against some of the worst teams in the NBA.

Line movement in the NBA doesn't scare me at all. The games are not on the board long enough for the Books to do too many tricks. I cap strictly on the basis of matchups. Thats is the only thing that matters in B-Ball. Situtational plays are money also.

I have looked at this blazers team all road trip long and have been waiting to get them. They screwed me a bit on saturday in charlotte. The only issue I have is that botht hese teams are covering machines right now and figuring out which one wins tonight isnt as easy as people think. The hawks are the better team and i will probably play them but not until gametime. I do strongly believe that this game goes under.

ATL forced the Tempo on Boston, which leads me to believe they will do the same against the Blazers. Blazers have been traveling, so I expect tired legs.

I noticed a slide down in the totals Line for the blazers / hawks game - opened at 190, down to 187.5 and even 187, yet the public has been on the over the entire time.

I'm also curious what Vegas knows, but I took the over at 188. Interesting to see where it closes.

    Best of Luck all!
