I think it is an interesting question. How does vegas determine what a particular player is worth versus a change in spread number. Why 2.5 Why not 1? Why not 5? Where do they get the 2.5 (now 3) from initally? Do they pick it out of thin air or do they have a pre-existing number set for the worth of each player if out?

this game now has too many variables for anyone to make a serious reasoned judgement on who wins/who covers/over or under...as a matter of policy i stay clear of late injury ravaged games

wouldn't surprise me one bit to see a letdown game from toronto, knowing that duncan/parker are out....and for the rest of the spurs to take advantage of the increased playing time to show their stuff. can't be much longer before ginobili starts shooting over 40% from the field and 25% from 3, or jefferson stops playing like michael finley.

hill/mason/bowen/bonner/thomas nearly won in denver last season. covered the spread, at the very least. parker & duncan were late scratches, iirc.
