I'm curious where you come up with this 66% number? The best handicappers in the world are thrilled to get 55-57%.
66% is a great benchmark, but it's unrealistic and unsustainable over time in my opinion.
Why? Here's one reason: a series of losses does more to bring you down than a series of wins does to push your percentages up.
Let's say you're at 33-17, 66%. Now you lose five in a row, which puts you at 60%. Now let's say you win five in a row. You go back up to 63%. The trend toward equilibrium is down.
It's like the old stock market adage. If you buy a stock at $100 and it falls to $50, you've lost 50%. But in order to get even the stock has to appreciate 100%.
That being said, I hope you are able to achieve your goals.
