    Default Memphis @ Sacramento 11/2

anyone like the Grizzlies +1 or ML +100 against the Kings? Iverson playing in his first game of the year... Kings are not very good, despite it being their home opener... anyone like?

I'm going back and forth on that game. The Kings looked good vs the Hornets the other night in NO. Memphis is improved so far. I'd probably go with Memphis and hope K-Mart sprains his ankle

Kings always tough at home because their crowd always into the game. Shouldn't trust an unproven team like Memphis on a back to back.

Actually Iverson's playing, wonder if that's going to make a difference or not.

Match up wise, Memphis is pretty athletic and their big men can score. The Kings are not athletic and their big men can't score. You have a rookie point guard and a fragile 'star'. It's a coin toss, which is why the spread is pretty much even. But Memphis is the play. I'm from Sacramento. There's no excitement for this team. Arco isn't the same place and the people have no expectations and don't care anymore.

Pattymayo, I'm with you on this one. Memphis has too much talent for the Kings to handle.

EXACTLY I agree with you all. Rudy Gay, O3J Mayo, Iverson, Gasol... what... are you serious.... nasty lineup.

Sac is terrible, but Frost makes a valid point about not trusting the Grizz in a b2b situation on the road. If anything I liked the over here, but the number has climbed so much that I'm not sure its worth it. Good luck, I'll be rooting for Memphis.

not only a back to back but 3 games in 4 nights, also just played in the thin air last night. Mayo and Gay argued after the game as well. I like Sac personally

I can see this game going over 220... Memphis laid a brick in season opener against a tough Boston defense. Since then, they've been scoring points...and giving up points. Hate that they played last night, but like this game to be a 115-112 type battle.

I like the Kings if forced to pick. Day of rest will help them, IMO.

Very true, the line at 205 may still be a bit short. Good luck if you decide to play it.

I meant a tough Detroit defense, not Boston.

I love this play. Favorite of the night. Hate waiting to 10 pm EST and staying up late to watch though...

I'm taking memphis 110 for 100 here. Iverson is back and Memphis are high scoring team. The Kings just can't keep up and they can't play defense. They will not outscore sac

I'm on the Kings here... they play great at home and Evans will be good in his home debut.

i would not back memphis in the first game with ai. but the kings are so bad, it might not even matter. the grizz are way more balanced, i just think ai will screw up the chemistry they've developed the last couple of games.

so as lakerboy said, the best play would be to fade the movement on the over. it does make sense, but i will have to marinate on it a bit before dropping anything on this one.

I'd love to hear why fading the line movement and playing the under makes sense here... I don't have a play on this I'm just not sure other than a public fade why the under would be the play.

Bad teams on defense yes, but they can score. The B2B is a valid point though, thanks JJ.

because razz, memphis won't be sharp with ai returning. they've looked really good the last two games, knew exactly where to be, didn't force shots, etc. but throw old ass ai into the mix, who's not known for his unselfish play to begin with, and this team will be of kilter when he's in. like the cavs with shaq...they look real sharp without him and not so much when he's in.

it's less about fading the movement and more about not agreeing with the movement and using the extra points to your advantage.

but then again i could be wrong.

Ok, thanks Tex, I just wasn't clear where this was coming from, thanks for the explanation. Would have been a great line to try and middle...
Not sure how AI will effect the lineup, I can't rag on the guy too much, I put a lot of the blame for last year on Detroit's management. Not even sure if AI gets significant minutes with the injury and all, but we'll see. Good luck.

I like Memphis here despite being on the road and playing back to back. They have more depth and the better players. I'll go with depth/talent over back to back and home court any day

i saw someone mentioning over @ 220 and 214... wtf??? thegreek has the line @ 206 right now. Am I missing something?? what was the opening line on the total for this game?

A.I. back.. too much talent on Memphis.. but then again they are the Grizzlies so anything can happen. But I'm on them as well.

well, i'm not on the under yet, razz, still mulling it over. if i were to make a play on this one it would be under though. your point about not knowing how much he'll play is my main concern. that's kind of been a mystery even to the locals, at least what i've been able to soak in. hollins isn't really shedding too much light on what he plans on doing with ai.

so probably a no play, honestly, but gun to head, under would be my play.

Yeah, I'm not on any side but was leaning on the over Tex. Too many what ifs and unknowns. Not gonna be a pretty game to watch, but it should be informative.

definitely leaning towards over with these two teams' style of basketball.....
