    Default Nuggets at Trail Blazers: In-game Thread

    The Denver Nuggets (1-0) visit the Portland Trail Blazers (1-0) tonight. The Nuggets beat the Jazz comfortably at home last night, whereas the Trail Blazers won a home over the Rockets two nights ago.

    Portland is currently an 8 point favorite, O/U is 200. Post your picks and thoughts.

    Got Portland -7 (+106) early here. I expect Denver to be a bit gassed after last night's game; Portland also looks to be an improved team; I think Denver may be riding off of their playoff run last year. They're still solid, just maybe not as good as some think. The Blazers are 37-8 SU in their last 45 home games. Denver was 21-20 last year on the road.

    Take the fckin ball to the paint Denver and stop fckin shooting rocks from down town. Shocking on defensive rebounds. Its early but they look bush whacked from last nights game and travelling.

    So does Greg Oden have any potential at this point? I'm thinking he may have a chance at a Dikembe Mutumbo type mold, solid on D, not much aside from easy dunks and such on the offensive side.

    Well defense is a much harder skill to develop so to speak. He is going to be solid on that end like Dikembe, but he could develop an offensive skill set and become a true beast. He still has to work on his fouls he commits to many a game.

    Well I am on Denver, and I honestly think the calls at both ends are pretty horrible. Melo obviously charged on that play and at the other end it should have been a no call when everyone was going for the rebounds. Chauncy is really hurting Denver so far shooting to many threes not in rhythm.
