Default Spurs at Bulls In-game Thread

The San Antonio Spurs (1-0) visit the Chicago Bulls (0-0). San Antonio visits Chicago after a blowout win at home over New Orleans last night. The Spurs are a 2.5 point favorite. The O/U is at 193. Post your thoughts/plays.

Only bet for me is U 193. RLM and back to back is scary for me, even though I think San Antonio is legit this year.

GL Mac; need some of your insight on 1Q and 1H lines, you seem to be one of the more frequent players of such on the board.

Mac, how many are you laying for 1Q and 1H?
2 units each, 4 unit total play. -1 first quarter and -1.5 first half lines.

I'm on Nuggets 1st half, game and ML - 2 units each. 6 unit total play.

This Gibson kid is tough in the middle for Chicago. D Blair looks good too.

I got Portland -7 (+106) on Matchbook early today. Portland may be the best team in the West outside of the Lakers and Spurs. They've been sitting at home since the opener (where they were 34-7 last year). The Nuggets were only a .500 road team last year, and I'm thinking they're going to take a step back this year. The Nuggets also are traveling after a hard-fought win last night (both teams were back and forth all game long, very rapid fire pace).

Wow, that was a BS play by George Hill. WTF was he thinking. 4 point play about to fuk the 1st quarter line. Good grief.

Early on (pre-season and up to now) he looks like he may be the steal of the draft.

Denver and Portland are both 2 very athletic teams but Melo and Billups will make the difference in this game. Noone can stop Melo and the Nuggets can bang the boards. Portland is a very good team but they tend to struggle against the top tiered teams.

Portland was 5-0 at home last year vs. the Spurs, Lakers, and Nuggets.

Richard Jefferson might be Point shaving.. He misses 2 FTs and has been fuking up. He just turned the ball over. WTF, get his ass out of the game.

Don't know, but I would imagine so. The Nuggets really got a lot of their publicity last year for their playoff run.

Well they owned the Lakers last year and the Spurs weren't elite last year. They were ok last year from memory but they lost to Cleveland, Orlando, Dallas, I think Philly at home. I remember them losing to either the Clippers or GS or maybe both too. Then they lost to Houston at home as well. I remember not really thinking they were all that strong at home even though most people thought they were.

Neither were Clippers/Dallas/Philly. If you throw in Boston/Cleveland/Orlando, it goes to 6-2 (and the Orlando loss was by a point). No matter which way you cut it, I don't think Portland struggled against elite competition at home.

Edit: Hope this score holds for you Mac.

Edit: And they were 3-1 against the Rockets at home, including the playoff series.
