    Default Mendozaaaa's NBA Season Thread

Well, it's a new NBA season and I just opened up a new book with a fresh deposit. I'm looking to make a profit and for tracking sake one percent of the money at the book is one unit and I will not be playing more than ten units all up in a day (unless something looks super duper nice!).

The units I play are to risk not to win.

Anyway, good luck with the season everyone. Smash the books!

    Tuesday, 27 October
    Cleveland/Boston Under 191 @ -110 (4 units)

    Portland -9 @ -110 (1 units)

    Cavs -4.5 @ -110 (1 unit)

Write ups to come in a bit!

    Orlando Magic -8.5 @ -110 (4 units)
The Magic have great depth this season and were undeafted during the preseason, depth-wise Philly don't even come close. They do have Elton Brand back from last year and an improved Lou williams, however, they don't have a front court tall that will match it with Dwight. Look for a Orlando by double digits.

    San Antonio Spurs -8 @ -110 (3 units)
The veteran team, like Orlando, have had some nice additions during the offseason. New Orleans will be mixing minutes with their new recruit, Okafor, who hasn't had any "gametime" with his new team mates. Spurs will exploit the miss matches they have with the Hornets and this should be a very easy victory for them.

    Charlotte Bobcats +10 @ -110 (1 unit)
Boston is back home on the end of a back to back and will be pumped after the win against the Cavs. The Celtics have had trouble in the past covering the line at home against the Bobcats and haven't done so since 2005. I think Boston will take the foot off the pedal for this game, win but keep an eye out for the Bulls game on Friday.

    ML Parlay - Atlanta ML/Spurs ML/Boston ML/Orlando ML -116 (1 unit)
Seems easy enough, hopefully no-one lays an egg.

    Good luck today people!

    San Antonio Spurs -1.5 @ -140 (2 units)
I'm quite convinced that the Spurs are in the top two teams in the Western Confernece and possibly top 3 in the league. However, Chicago was a covering machine and played very well at home in the second half of last season. Once again, the Spurs have depth and will not have a problem willing in Chicago unless key playerssss in their team get ejected. There are massive mismatches here. I know the public is on them, however, I just feel it is the right play.

    Spurs/Bulls Total U193 (1 unit)
Spurs are a defensive unit and I think both teams will score under 100 each.

I will be making a play on the late game later, as there is much more line movement to be watched! GL today

Mavs beat last years champs last night, but the Clippers are playing their fourth game in five nights I believe. They'll definitely come out strong but will probably fade away towards the end of the game. I like the Clippers at home in this spot.

    GL buddy.

I've been hitting the Centrebet 'alternative totals' and have made a profit on every day so far.

    Today had:
    Jazz/Rockets Under 213.5
    Knicks/Hornets Over 193
    Nets/Bobcats Under 183
    Clippers/Twolves Under 212.5

They all won but I lost Kings/Griz Under 215

Write ups to come, but thought I'd get my picks in on time!

    Detroit Pistons +6.5 @ -110 (3 units)
Historically the Pistons have troubled the Magic in recent times. More so at home than straight head to head. The public money will be on Orlando with their recent demolishion of opposing teams. However, Detroit is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games when playing at home against Orlando and they are 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Orlando. Plus the margin hasn't been greater than 6 in their past 5 games.

    Washington Wizards +11.5 @ -110 (3 units)
Cleveland are a good home team, however, they haven't managed to cover the Wizards against the spread recently. Last year the Wizards were given about as many points aginst the Cavs WITHOUT Arenas and still covers. Washington is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games when playing on the road against Cleveland and Cleveland is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games at home, plus Washington is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Cleveland. Arenas and Blatche are playing some good ball for the Wiz.

    Utah Jazz/Dallas Mavericks over 200.5 (3 units)

Look for a high paced and lots of ball movement in this game. There will be lotsof scoring in this game. Utah have a leaking defence but still manage to put up over 100 points a game. The total has gone OVER in 6 of Utah's last 7 games when playing on the road against Dallas.

    Miami Heat -3.5 @ -110 (3 units)
The Suns are undeafeated and are about to be handed their first loss at the hands of a Wade lead Miami. Miami started of their first game slowly btu they're stargting to gel properly as a unit. The Heat are5-1 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Phoenix and Miami is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games when playing at home against Phoenix.

    Chicago Bulls -5 1H @ -110 (2 units)

The Bulls will jump out early on the Bucks playing at home. The Bucks will take some time to get their unit together without Redd and Rose will want to prove the doubters wrong about this shooting. But I think the Bucks will slowly claw their way back into the game, so Chicago 1H for me.

Good luck with your plays people!

Shit day yesterday, Washington were good all game right until the end. Utah/Dallas started off too slowly but maintained the required pace for the rest of th game, while Miami and Chicago could handle their shit at home. Decent plays today but wiped out a fair bit of profit.

Hey mate! I wouldn't tail straight up but just use my picks more of a guidance to reaffirm your chioces or pull away from them. Anyhoo, for me 1% of my account = 1 unit... I opened a new account with $500, so nearing the end of two weeks I'm up around $75 (14%), might up the units in 2-4 withs to 2% = 1 unit... but need to consider how I'm going. Gl though champ!
