Thanks for your input. I really like Orlando but 9 could be too high. As the ML has no real value maybe I should simply stay away from this one
Well, there is one other game tonight I really like. Houston to cover +6,5 points against the Warriors... I will make some researches and we'll see if I can play it. Any thoughts?

There are 3 teams that I really like to cover the spread tonight and I will have them in my parlay: Cavs, Thunder and Spurs.

I like almost all your leans especially the Spurs. I can't see the hornets to keep this one in single digits. I will definitely stay away from the Thunders game. Well, the Kings aren't ready to win tonight but they aren't that bad in covering spreads especially against Oklahoma. To be honest I don't really know what do think about this one tonight.

The Thunder have improved and the Kings have not in my opinion. Similar situation to the Celtics/Cavs last night. I like the better team to win, and being at home I'll take them giving the points (but I will buy 2 pts in my parlay).

Only because of last night. If the Cavs don't win by 10+ I'll be surprised.

Yes, I am still leaning cavs tonight. The important thing is that the line moved because of big bets on Toronto ML. Some people could think of RLM.

Huge card today! There is only one team I am not afraid to lose the cover by backdoor and this is the Spurs!
I have no doubt they can cover this big spread against the Hornets. This team has not only a big starting five,
the bench looks damn good, too. I referr you NOT to bet against the Spurs that often this season!
Then I like Atlanta and Orlando to cover the spread. No doubt they will dominate their opponents but I am
afraid of getting beaten by a backdoor cover like yesterday with Portland when the Rockets played ****ed up but
got the cover in the 4th. So I am going with the half time result here. Quite confident on both bets!
The Cavs 1Q bet will be a solid moneymaker all season long. Expect them to start angry tonight with a great perfomance
by Lebron&Co. Not messing with the fulltime spread but leaning cavs, too!

    1st half Orlando -5,5
    110 to win 100
    1st half Atlanta -4,5 110 to win 100
    SA Spurs -9,5 110 to win 100
    Cleveland 1Q -1,5 115 to win 100

As I said before I was leaning the Rockets. But staying away because of their horrible performance yesterday. Well they got the cover but this was pure sarcasm. I won't place a wager on them until they show me they are able to play a better ball.

BL, I was just getting ready to respond to your previous posts and beg you not to take Houston, but it seems you beat me to it! Houston is going to struggle this year, and while Golden State isn't great, they do have a great home crowd. I'm leaning towards GS here for a unit or two, especially since Houston has this rough back-to-back.

I love your 4 picks tonight. I want to go large on the Cavs, but after seeing the stagnant offense they displayed last night I'm going to need one game to reassure me that they can dominate like last year. I will be taking them small tonight.

Atlanta is a great pick tonight. Indiana is really banged up right now. Without Granger at 100% they aren't much of a team at all.

Good luck tonight! Let's cash these

thx williams. I am thankful for any input to get me on or off a pick!
If you are going to back the Warriors I wish you the best luck. For myself I can't put any money on them as if I had to play a side in this one it would be the rockets. I have no doubt the Warriors will win but 6,5 points are a lot of pints to give! I expect the same thing happen like yesterday. The line did not move at all (well for about 5 mins it went -7) what tells me houston is the play, too. I will stay away and will watch this game closely if i have the time. So much action tonight in every town

Hey BL, any thoughts on the Suns tonight? -2 seems like a pretty easy cover against a hurting Clippers team playing a back-to-back.

  19. #54

    Default

It looks like this could be a easy winner with the Suns. But the opening line told me Clippers are the play and I am a big line and line movement watching guy so I can't go with the suns here. The argument Clippers are playing back2back doesn't count that much if they played in LA the first game of the season. I see Phoenix winning this one also but will stay away.

Tonight I think I will simply ride with Portland at home against Nuggets playing back2back.

Well after getting the information about the bulls injuries I have to stay on the Spurs train. Even without any injuries I don't see the bulls strong enough to compete with SA tonight.
Portland at home against a back2back team is kinda autoplay so I already booked my two plays:

    Spurs@Bulls
    SA Spurs -4
    110 to win 100

    Nuggets@Blazers
    Portland -7
    110 to win 100

Glad to see you ended up positive yesterday. - I had a rough day.
For today I like the Spurs and the under in their matchup against the Bulls. Portland convinced me against the Rockets and they will most likely be a play too.

Looks like we agree. You should take a look at that under.

  28. #63

To be honest I like the Under for portland even more!
What are my eyes seeing? HEAVY RLM in Spurs-game ! Line went down to -2,5 with 81% betting on San Antonio ?

Ok, Danskeren! I took another look at the Spurs under... and all I have to say: I like it even more than Spurs minus the points!
So I have to add this play for tonight:

    Spurs@Bulls
    Under 193,5
    110 to win 100

I agree, this is definitely a good bet tonight. I also like Spurs minus the points. I feel these two teams are on completely different levels.

im going over 193. i think the spurs are different this year, not the same ol team who slows it down. everyone is healthy and they have richard jefferson and they run a small lineup with dajuan blair at the PF/C spot. i actually took this game down 5pts in a teaser, but thats cause i wanted the points in the nuggs/blaze game. i know the nuggs played last night, but the main reason teams play poorly when they play back to back is fatigue/soreness. i dont think they are gonna be feeling the effects of that in the 2nd game of the year. looks like we are on opposite ends of the sprectrum here

  32. #67

When I first looked at the total of this match I thought the over is the play. After looking at it twice I realized that I was wrong. Just look back at the Spurs game against the hornets. They scored a lot, right. But the pace wasn't that high as you maybe think when you see the result. The hit over 50% from the field and the hornets defense wasn't that good as the bulls we will get to see tonight. I expect none of both teams to score >100 points. And that is why I'm really confident in taking the Under 193 ! I expect a bit rusty Bulls team in the beginning so Spurs 1Q should be a decent bet. But I will simply roll with the spread and the under.

  33. #68

personally im gonna take the first quarter bets in almost all games for the top 5 teams (3pts or less)--> Nuggs, Celts, Lakers, Magic, Spurs...the really solid teams start strong, maintain a lead and then often will lose the 4th quarter to get the line close to where it should be...just a trend im feeling for the year

we shall see as to our plays. its funny how this game is really polarizing people.

Glad i made you have another look then.
    - Always good to be on the same side as you.

"That's their main objective when I came here," said McDyess, the free-agent signee from Detroit. "We're going to grind down on defense. That's the identity of this team. That's what I expected when I got here."
