That is a big time bad beat. Just when you think you have the value, it is snagged right out from underneth you.
I feel for all the Laker backers, but it worked out wonderful for me.![]()

No argument here. I think I put my bets in at the book about 10 minutes before it came off the board. I placed them at 9:14am PST. Im not really sure when Bryants suspension was annouced, but I know it wasnt long after I placed my bets.Originally Posted by imgv94

That was a complete f\*\*k job for sure Jay. That wasn't even called a foul in the first place, and Kobe gets suspended over it like he did it purposely.Originally Posted by Jay Edgar

Kobe is always innocent. Didn't you know? His comments on ESPN (paraphrasing): "It was completely unintentional. I've always thought Ginobili was a great, great player." Translation: "Hey, I didn't know it was Ginobili..."
Forgive me for not being on the unintentional bandwagon. One thing that sets Kobe apart from the pack is perfect body control. I've seen England's (soccer) Gascoigne have his jaw broken while going up for a header, because the player in front of him (who couldn't see him) swung his elbows back while heading the ball, in what appeared to be a perfectly natural motion. It took the refs a few years, and some more facial injuries, to realize the move had become fashionable. It's a red card these days.
Not saying Kobe was trying to hurt Ginobili. But he was at least trying to initiate contact with the game on the line, and if it had looked better, timing wise, he may have received free throws for it.
Lakers have now lost five out of their last six. They're probably happy to play Boston next, losers of 12 straight.
