This is preseason, but still the better teams do play better than the mediocre ones.

Rockets @ Raptors: In their current incarnation, the Rockets are overrated. The Rockets won't fly high this year. Expect the Raptors to take care of business at home. Have you also heard that teams wanting to sell tickets are playing well at home?

Kings @ Lakers: The books are very clever. The spread opened at 9 and has dropped to 8.5 in order to fool bettors into fading the Lakers. If not that the NBA is a league, the Kings should have no business sharing the same court with the Lakers. Irrespective of how many minutes the starters will get, the Lakers' bench is deep enough to enable us cash this ticket.

I'm not buying any points here. Let them do as they wish.

I read your posts often and normally find you to make great choices, but what made you take the Raptors? They are absolutely awful this year.

I'm trying to figure out the Lakers game right now. Seems Lakers may be the choice but I don't like such a large spread in a preseason game. Kings are awful to begin with and now are missing Garcia as well. I'm just worried Phil Jackson may rest everybody a bunch tonight.

Thanks Willie. The Rockets on their part haven't been playing well. I played them at home the other day against the Bucks and they lost. I faded them today and they won. I'll just wait for the regular season.
