I'm actually kind of liking that as well. I waiting too see how high the line will go actually. Will it make it to 8 or 9? I'm going to wait and see!

    This doesn't matter?

The Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm will be forming a potential Western Conference finals preview when they meet Thursday night in Seattle, but the Storm are hoping they'll have a different lineup when the playoffs actually begin.

The team's top three scorers could all be out against Phoenix, which should have a good opportunity for a third straight win as it tries to secure home-court advantage throughout the postseason.

Former WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson is certain to miss another game with a stress fracture in her back and veteran Swin Cash will be out for the final two contests of the regular season after the death of her grandmother.

Seattle could also be missing Sue Bird, who is day-to-day after sitting out Saturday's 76-68 loss at Minnesota due to a sore neck. The Storm (19-13) are locked into the No. 2 seed in the West, so they're focused on getting as healthy as possible for a postseason run.

I think the line will go up to 9 by tipoff.

If people don't go huge on the Pho, how will the books make money? Can you imagine how much the books made on the day the Rockets without Yao beat the Lakers? What will happen tonight is both Indiana and Phoenix will lose and that settles it. Then their fight for the best record continues from there. By then, so many would have lost so much money because they think "if a healthy Sea is 1-2 vs. Pho, how can a depleted Sea beat Pho?". That's exactly what the books want us to think. In the end, Pho goes to Sea, loses the game, and life goes on.

Yes, 2-3 of them are out. And yes, I still like it.

Seattle has absolutely nothing to play for, they are locked into #2 seed in West.

Phoenix is battling Indiana for overall #1 seed.

I am not saying I'd lay 7.5 on the road, and i saying stay far, far away.

Phoenix also has no reason to blow Seattle out. They'll only play their starters for as much time necessary to guarantee a victory then trot out the second stringers. Classic opportunity for a backdoor cover by Shittle, as the Mercury walk away with a 4-5 point win. I like this pick, not huge, but enough for a one unit wager.

Not true. Phoenix will run their system and want to keep their players sharp. Coach Gaines all but apologized for blowing out the Storm in advance of the game.

    http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/womenshoopsblog/

"It's a regular game, we have to stay sharp," said Mercury coach Corey Gaines of playing All-Stars Diana Taurasi, Cappie Pondexter (pictured right by WNBA), and Australian Olympian Penny Taylor as normal. "We have a style of play where you can get out of game-shape real fast if you take a couple of games off."

Seattle misses a layup for the cover. Ouch.

You made the right call, this is just a bad beat.

I laid 10 units on this one for Mercury -7.5. I switched off the feed near the end of the 4th, surprised it went into OT.

Good win for those who took Mercury OVER

Well not a crap fest for me as I bought a pt on both games, well those 1 pt on both games was the difference tonight! And you say buying pts isn't worth it, but getting up to a key number to me is!

Did you have Pittsburgh and are you referring to the fumble inside the 5 late?

If so, I would not consider that "odd" as turnovers happen all the time and there is no guarantee that the Steelers would not have just run down the clock and settled for a FG anyway.

Losing a dog in OT hurts more because you capped the game correctly and don't take OT into consideration when making a play.
