Indiana has a solid team [Maybe I am viewing as a homer], but if healthy, they can compete and produce competitive games for their fans. Toward the end of last season, the team was putting up a lot of points with their style of play. Six players averaged double digit scoring with a team avg of 105 for the season. Hopefully Dunleavy [Knee] and Granger [Foot], 2009 NBA Most Improved Player, are at full strength when the new season begins. They will need improvement in the paint for certain. Nesterovic and Baston are probably gone with contracts up so that leaves Foster, Hansbrough and Hibbert to rotate the Center position. Not that impressive at 1st thought, but who knows it may work out ok. [Defensively it doesn't look that swell]

Nice, solid team... Prob gonna be hard working, entertaining and fun to watch all at once. But maybe an 8th seed or 7th at best in the East. Or just a competitive team that loses many close games and just misses the playoffs

Either way, BOL to them for ya!

PACERS -- Tyler Hansbrough will probably have a long NBA career. He will collect NBA paychecks well into his 30s and retire a wealthy man. His work ethic is unquestioned, and Pacers coach Jim O'Brien loves players with a strong motor. But Hansbrough doesn't have the size or explosiveness to thrive at power forward. He seems like a fourth big man in a rotation playing a limited role. That's not what you are looking for at No. 13, not when potential high-upside players like Earl Clark and Holiday are still on the board.

Gotta promote the white guys in places like Indiana and Utah!!!

Marketing may have been a factor in the Hansbrough selection

Kenny Smith predicts Hansbrough will be the starter at Center for the Pacers and he [Hansy] cannot be a fluke with his credentials at UNC. If it were horse racing, then Hansbrough certainly has the pedigree in terms of basketball prowess to be a great player. Time will tell.

Yeah... It's just sad that he gets picked on for staying 4 years instead of praised...
