    Default Lakers Deal?

Any rumblings about the Lakers putting together a package to get a point guard from Minnesota?

Naw, I haven't heard anything. Lawson did go to Denver though. Lakers traded Toney Douglas to NY for cash and a future 2nd round pick.

Was wondering wtf the Wolves were doing taking 3 point guards. Lawson was traded to the Nuggets for next year's #1 pick from the Charlotte Bobcats. Good trade for the Wolves as that pick s/b a lottery pick. Wonder if the Wolves took Flynn in case Rubio stays in Spain for another year.

The Wolves are greedy. If they don't trade one of those guards someone needs to smack the manager. And if the Lakers pick up Rubio, WOW.

No Rubio for the Lakers... would be insane... but no...

I think Rubio may be dealt somewhere tho... but Minny would want a couple of nice, young players. I think Rubio and Flynn were a great PG combo for Minny to draft. Rubio may need a couple of years to fully develop, so until then, Flynn gets the starting nod. Then when Rubio starts really blossoming, he takes over for Flynn and they have a great 1-2 punch at PG. What would be innovative tho, is if they both developed nicely and Minny played with two PGs in the starting lineup. Ofcourse, their SF would have to be a SG/SF hybrid that could really score, but they would sure be able to pass the ball great!!!

I like Flynn more as I think Rubio is overrated. He is a guy that plays ZERO defense, has absolutely no shot, and can really just show flash every now and then. Jason Williams anyone? It took 3 years under Hubbie Brown to get him to respect his position and work at it and even then he still had flashback moments. Flynn was the safe play in case Rubio never develops which I like, but by the end of their 3 year rookie deal only one of them will be a Timberwolve the trade wasn't ment for both to stay.

I think Rubio will be the next Pistol Pete or even Steve Nash... so what if he can't play defense, the guy WILL make plays. Either way, Flynn is great insurance and there is room for both to succeed and reach their full potential...

Will be interesting to see... I think teams like Minny gotta try diff things to win, or atleast be entertaining. 2 PGs, should they both play on the court at the same time regularly, is definitely something diff and could be an interesting innovation...
