Default Steal of the 2009 nba draft?

Who do you guys think will be the steal of the draft? I am thinking Toney Douglas from FSU. I also really like Jerrell McNeal from Marquette. Jack McClinton can also be a player that could help a lot of teams who need a pure 3 point shooter ie Oklahoma City.

76ers need a shooter to complement Igoudala. It's good they got Kapono but I think they need one more guy to help open up the floor for all their athletic guards/wings.

I don't know who the steal of the draft will be but I do think Rubio will be a bust.

i also tink rubio is more of an investment type of a player. weak teams shouldnt get him cause he will bring highlight with his passing but not enough to get a win. until he shoots better. if he goes to a poor team, they will be eaten with a good defense down the wire and then what will he do, throw up a clanker. nba thrives on making a shot when it matters.

you are right about kapono specially with his weak defensive skills. kapono is not enough. and id like to see the developement on how they will entice andre to come back or get another point to lead the team

I had been saying for months that the 76ers would draft Jack McClinton but that doesn't look like its going to happen with Kapono now. I think the Lakers may take a chance with Jack.

As a Laker fan, I wouldn't mind the Lakers drafting McClinton.

I'm sure he'd do a better job than what Sasha did during the 2009 playoffs.

I think Blair needs to lose weight. Too much pounding on his legs. That's why he's had so many surgeries.

the steal of the draft is Clearly, Jodie Meeks...he's got the shooting ability, driving and scoring ability...he's like a beefed up chris paul with 10x the shooting ability

And about 1/4 the heart, passing ability, IQ, etc. do not compare him to Chris Paul while I do think Meeks could be a great 3rd option kind of guy I don't ever see him being the go to guy who can deliver for your team. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

I'd like Blair to go to Indiana. They will be competitive every game with an addition like that and healthy in 09/10.

Rubio falling to 5 is a mistake. He is the real deal.

I think he went too high. Too much hype surrounding this kid. Honestly, I don't think he'll be that great.

I don't even know why the T'Wolves selected two PGs either. Maybe they're interested in trading one of the two but those two picks had me scratching my head.

yea...taking rubio AND flynn? kinda confusing especially since neither are flexible enough to play the 2-guard.

I totally agree! I love watching Ricky Rubio play. The guy did great in the Olympics and crossed over Kobe...the guy can flat out play!

Minnesota is shaping up to have a pretty nice team. I'm loving it. f\*\*k KG!

Ricky Rubio reminds of Jason "white chocolate" Williams, which IMO doesn't warrant a top 5 pick. Rubio has no beef on his body and will be taken to the hole every time. Tyreke Evans and Steph Curry will both be way better plays in the NBA.

for me this is a no brainer and it pains me to say it but Sam Young. Hes 6'6, built like a champion, can shoot. I think he can be the next andre igudola (sp?) with an even better shot. At the end of the first round is such a steal for a guy who is a such a great physical talent

I think Johnny Flynn will end up being the best player of this draft.

Cannot say which player was a steal now, they did not even play a game yet.

    I love flynn

what's this about Blair losing 40 lbs? I feel like that might make him LESS effective, unless he plans on shooting 2,000 shoots from 15 feet and 1,000 shoots from 24 feet from april to october

Ricky Rubio was a steal at No.5. He is only 18 years old and already has more international experience than the rest of the draft. He schooled Kobe and Wade in last year's Olympics as a 17 year old. That's like a junior in high school schooling Kobe in his prime. Ridiculous staff.

Stephen Curry to the Warriors. Who better to get full use of his ability than the best small ball coach in the league? A back court with he and Ellis in it is sick.

He's going to put up ridiculous stats next year. That team will be fun to watch yet again.

dajuan blair is gonna be gone within 5years, he's got f'd up ACL's in BOTH knees, the main reason why he dropped so much, plus he lost all that weight which was the basis for his body banging style of play, doesn't bode well in the association when ya got THE DIESEL riding ya up and down the court for 40 minutes a nite

if he's there, there are rumors on the score that he's gonna get packaged and sent to Phoenix for AMARE

Hm, that'll be interesting. If he's on either Phoenix, GS, or NY, he's going to put up sick stats because of how they play offensively.
