Default After Griffin, who will be picked?

After Griffin, this years NBA draft is lacking star power. Lots of hype on Ricky Rubio but who knows...what do you think?

lacking star power? if you're looking for another Lebron then sorry, you're expectations are too high.
there's lots of players coming out of college or w.e with lots of potential.

    Hasheem Thabeet
    Ricky Rubio
    Ty Lawson
    Jordan Hill
    Stephen Curry

Im not 100% sold on Rubio. Im not sold on his ability to score. If I were picking a point guard in the top 5 I would want him to be able to score whenever he wanted. But, then again I have seen very little of him.

Besides Ty Lawson, that list of yours is whack
Who is Curry going to guard in the NBA, and can he play point? Thabeeti is just another tall guy that can jump

I am a huge Grizzlies fan and if we take anybody other than Thabeet I am going to be upset. He has tons of ability in terms of defense and rebounding. He lacks a true low post skillset on the offensive end, but he can develop that. If it never does develop he can still be a very good Ben Wallace type except much larger for years to come.

Ricky Rubio is the next Steve Nash! I say he's the 2nd best in the draft maybe first. The Grizzlies should pick him up. What point guard do they have. They already have Marc Gasol as a big man and also that other big man who's international. Hasheem Thabeet has Darko Milicic and Kwame Brown written all over him. And I think Stephen Curry is overrated. I think the Clippers may grab that 8th spot. The Clippers have a lot of good talent and potential. Let's not forget they beat the Celtics! And that was with KG Lol.

I believe he can definitely dominate a game defensively but he is very limited offensively. In all honesty, I think what you see is what you get in terms of his offensive skills but defensively, there is no question that he can be a force.

I see potential with rubio and like him. He is still only 19 years old and you never know. With Thabeet we are getting a sure 7 footer who can play defense and rebound. With Rubio you do not know and I think Conley still has a lot of upside so why draft a PG who might not ever start over him. I do agree that Gasol is very good down low with the intensity he brings to the court. I would rather have him at the 4 spot though and get a true center down low. Thabeet is already better than Milic and Brown in my opinion so I do not think they can even compare there. We will see what route the Griz go I personally hope it is to get the big man down low.

Grizz will go Thabeet, they have OJ be too much at that position. Thunders will go Rubio. I have a friend who is a huge clippers fan says that he would want them to draft Rubio instead of Blake, but if Rubio is a bust, imagine want people would say

The Clippers have Baron Davis and the Thunder have Russell Westbrook? So drafting Rubio would be pointless for them.

Clippers paid alot of money for B-Diddy at the point, but they have tons of guys who play the 4-5 spot also. Zach Randolph & Al Thorton at the 4, Chris Kaman, Camby at the 5, and they drafted Deandre Jordan last year at the 5 who has tons of potential. But there isnt a GM that will skip on Griffin at #1

Exactly Davis has 2 years most left. They need to groom for the future. But can't pass up Griffin. As for Rubio too much value to pass up even for trade value to not draft for Thunders with Thabeet taken by Memphis

This has got to be one of the worst draft classes in the past 15 years, and i dont even think griffin wil b a major factor in the nba

Last year's draft wasn't that great either except for a handful of players.

Griffin will contribute right away. He will be a very solid player. Rubio will be a future NBA superstar, watch.

Stephan Curry will be a good player despite all the destractors BUT the guy who I think will be the steal of the draft will be Paddy Mills from St. Mary's. This kid is a Tony Parker clone. He is probably the fastest player in the game. If you got a chance to watch him in the Olympics, he was killing Team USA single handlely. DWill, Chris Paul and JKidd all couldn't handle him. He was flying past all of them like they were standing still. Plus this guy can shoot the 3 already. Watch out for him, he is going to a special player.

The Clippers HAVE to move a big guy in the next few weeks, but the question is who? Camby, Kaman or Randolph. (They'd love to unload Randolph, but his contract is tough.)

Isnt that the way every draft is?

If you need a pg this draft is very strong, center is typically very week every year but even weaker this year. Demar Derozen should translate very well to the NBA. Sam young is going to be a steal for a team drafting in the 20's, he can contribute the way Courtney Lee is this year for the magic, should be very solid.

I feel sorry for Blake Griffin, he is going to have horrible mentors regardless of who is traded, if he becomes a all star they wont pay him when his contract is up, he has the worst coach in the NBA, the worst GM in the NBA, and a team that on paper should have been competing for a playoff spot this year not the number one pick in the draft. I really thought he was going to be a great NBA player, the surest thing seem to never workout for some reason. Id still put my money on him being a all star someday, but those odds droped when the clipper got the 1 pick.

The faster player in the game is Aaron Brooks handsdown. I have never seen anything like that.

Noone will be as bad as Kwame Brown..... it makes me very angry seeing this guy play in the NBA and make Millions of $$. It's like watching a WNBA player that has the ability to dunk.

Thabeet though, I think he has a high ceiling, higher than Emeka Okafor. They both had similar games coming out of UConn. If Thabeet can put up Okafor numbers then he is worth a lottery pick.

Manut Bol isn't nearly as quick or as mobile as Thabeet lol....Thabeet can actually run the floor, and is better conditioned. As far as potential and ceiling, he has more than Yao because of his mobility...
