Default Suns @ Timberwolves Under 223.5

This is THE PLAY today. The Suns season is completely over, no playoff shot. The Suns are playing B2B and this is their 4th game of their road trip. The fact that it is B2B should limit Shaq's numbers big time today. Last night Shaq played 17 minutes, Nash 19 minutes, Hill 21 minutes, and Richardson 25 minutes. The bench got big minutes for the Suns; Dragic, Lopez, Dudley, Tucker, and Amundson all played over 20 minutes and I expect them to play even more today. These players are not capable of putting up typical Suns numbers. The Timberwolves played the Suns twice already and the scores were @ minne 102-110(Suns) and @ phoenix 105-103(Wolves). Neither of these games are close to 223.5 and the startes for Phoenix played big minutes and those two games were actually meaningful for the Suns. The Timberwolves have had 3 games this year with 220+ O/U's. 1st game was @ GS 105-97 way under, 2nd game vs NY 102-94 way under, 3rd game vs GS 118-94 also way under. In the last 3 months only one game @ minnestoa has touched 223 (103-120Utah). These are not going to be the same Suns we have witnessed all year. Feedback would be great as I am new to this forum.

    Timberwolves/Suns under 223.5 HEAVY W
    Suns team under 113 W

Nice write up, and excellent research on these trends, im with ya on the under. lets hope pho doesnt show up for some reason and post a 120 ish score like they are fully capable of, but you are right, they are tired old and waiting for the offseason. UNDER BIG.

Phoenix is most definitely capable of scoring 120 but I do not think they are capable if the 5 bench players play more minutes than the 5 starters, which was the case last game. I got a feeling Shaquille O'neal just might sit this game out.

Phoenix is trash, especially on the tail end of a roadtrip and playing B2B. Suns are loaded with vets who are use to playing in the playoffs, they could give a damn about the last games of a lost season. Informative write up SweetJ. I parlayed this today. We shall cash

I've read that when everyone in the forum is in agreement on a play that that usually is a good thing.

I'm on the under too! Minnesota's rarely run and gun. They're patient and likes to play the half court game.

Also, the PHX bench plays much better defense than the starters.

Really? I'm going to watch the game to see that. Anyone on phoenix playing D sounds weird to me.

Nice writeup, sweetjones. The T'Wolves have been playing their bench recently too. I can't see both teams putting up 110+ with the players they have out there either. I may have to play this one.

This is very true. Weird but true. The 2nd teamers actually play defense for the Sun's. First teamers...

I wasn't going to play this but since everyone is on it, I'm on it as well. This could be a huge trap because since the Suns are demotivated they have zero reason to play D and will just play run and gun. BOL

I somewhat disagree with you and the comment about the Suns being demotivated. The starters are demotivated but the backups who will get a good majority of minutes tonight definitely won't be. This is their chance to show the team and other teams around the league that they can play if given good minutes and that they deserve a spot on someones roster.

"These games really aren't meaning anything for us," said Richardson, who is averaging 25.2 points in his last five games versus Minnesota. "Even though we want to win them, just let (the reserves) go out and get some minutes."

Backups aren't of the same quality of the starters... That's why they are backups but I understand what your saying as well. Let's just cash this bitch. I'm on the under but I'm also on the Wolve's for the game too.

I agree with everyone in this thread, I'm on it pretty decently as well. Just a good number of ticks too high IMO, I think we'll see something around 205.

I put a little money on the Wolves as well. I might as well tear that ticket up. What's the NBA low for points in a quarter?? They still have only 6 pts with 3:54 in the 1st.

Also, I can't get this game on NBA ticket for some reason. Anybody getting the game?

Sorry about that guys. I forgot to mention that Minnesota is in the bottom 3rd of the league in Points Per game in my writeup for this game.

So now they would each need 40 points in the 4th to hit the over... that is possible but unlikely.
