line: phi@chi 202.5
pick: 202.5 over
The Sixers are playing there 4th game in 5 nights. Once again, tired legs, no D. As for the Bulls, they are filled with scorers and at the same time they are not defensive juggernauts. They have allowed 4 of their last 5 opponents to score over 100. Head to head, the over is 8-2 in their last 10 meetings. I'm riding with the over in this game boys and girls.

Pho3 I'm tailing you, as I'm a rook in the totals game. Sixers dont have anything left in tank on this road trip, and should have been blown out by Bobcats. They just want to get back to Philly. I also think that seeing all 4 games played on TNT in last 2 weeks end in blowouts has some meaning also. Just some karma vibe.

Phoenix not disagreeing with your mindset when picking o/u's, but when you refer to tired legs and picking the overs it doesn't make sense to me. Tired legs might mean no D, but at the same time it means less offense. Tired legs don't shoot jump shots well. Once again, not dissing your pick at all just confused about the concept. Although, you have been making that money so maybe i should use it also. GL man.

you are correct with no legs to shoot but i've observed a lot of games wherein the D is just gone when teams are tired. they just allow layups after layups. scoring doesnt mean long range jumpers only. when you watch phoenix and golden st. they allow lots of uncontested layups. i used this same logic in the toronto-indiana game. toronto was tired but still managed to score 100 with the pacers defense. the bulls by no means are defensive-minded. gimme the over in this game.

Wow Pho3, I'm changing my play back to Chi Under. I looked at the history of these games and I dont think 76ers want to be in Chi or really care. We saw the heat in this same position last week against Chi and got routed due to being tired, and not giving much effort for the following reasons.
Chi -6 is the play.
Phi is playing its 4th game in 5 days. They have lost the last 2, both on road. This is their third consecutive road game. Also Thaddeus Young is out for the rest of the season. Phi has a hard time scoring, and that inj does'nt help them. Also expect complacent attitude due to clinching playoff birth.
Bulls squad has scored over 100pts in their last 6 games. They are 4-2 during that stretch. Bulls are well rested having only played two games in the month of April. Bulls have full complement of players, minus Tim Thomas, which is a plus. On a 2 game win streak also. Bulls are fighting to stay out of 8 spot in playoffs, motivated to stay away from Cavs in first round.
The plays are the Under & Chi-6
I know I flipped flopped, but i'm more confident in this play. GL I also like 211/Ovr in the LakeShow game.

^^^Donno if this will change your play but...this will be Philly's 4th game in 6 nights, which is normally just a typical NBA week. They received an off day before and after the Charlotte games. But this one involved a road trip so could be small difference.

California Trash
Keep laying down on the Lakers ****ers....the Nuggets are going to cover this spread if not beat these clowns.
Kobe sucks and the east will own him again(if they get past the Nuggets).
I hope you all lose tons of cash and your accounts drop like house values in California.
California blows and stop coming to Colorado with your retarded freak show of lives.

i've been very hot.. staying away from the utah-dallas game was key.. hit my ok city pick and my big hockey pick.. wont have anything on basketball untill tomorrow in case anyone cares.. baseball picks which have been hot also are on the ck baseball thread.. the masters starts tommorow and my bets are jim furyk over ernie els (tournament),,,sergio garcia over paul casey (1st round) and k.j. choi over steve stricker (1st round).. dont laugh my golf picks always win just like my nascar picks are around 70% in driver matchups.. ever bet on a car race.. its fun as hell if you know what your doing

I'm doing some extra work on the trend here and I may change my bets to
DEN +9
And whoever said that Denver is horrible on b2b games certainly didnt give any effort to research. Denver is 10-9 on b2b games and 7-6 againts over .500 teams on b2b games. Not great but not horrible either.
I just need a little more push on this one....

CHI -6 ( mb buying down to -5.5 )
I would have picked PHI despite the Bulls' recent record @ home. 10-3 ATS and 5-0 SU @ home don't look that impressive when it's 1-4 ATS and 1-4 SU @ home playing PHI. What made me fade PHI was Young being out and CHI fighting for their playoff seed in the 76ers 4th game in 5 nights.
PHI@CHI OVER 202.5
in addition to pho3nix32's and HouliHansTX's reasoning in #4 & 5
- OVER is 2-4 for CHI, but 5-0 last H2H
- I don't see PHI handing this to the Bulls. They didn't break against CHA on Tuesday in a very similar situation, but came back trailing 20-pts in the 2nd QTR and gave the Cats a run for their money.
- PHI will fight not to end the regular season like last year
- CHI will go for outrunning and -gunning a tired PHI, and the Sixers will have to run along or get stomped.
I'll most likely tease PHI + / HOU - and DEN + or LAL -, need yet to look closer at the LAL game.
rgz,
Mris

"-PHI will fight not to end the regular season like last year"
Any concrete reason as to why you're saying that? I'm leaning Chicago but I do so only because of their home court dominance.

- it didn't do them any good last year
- while conserving strength is one thing and might be an explanation for a sort of a slump, generally as a coach you wouldn't want your team to fall out of rythm
- found no significant increase in bench minutes
- maybe just a standard media answer
"We just want to go into the playoffs playing our best basketball," said forward Andre Iguodala, who scored 12 of his 19 points after halftime. "I think we played great in the second half. We just need to carry that good play into the playoffs.
"These next few regular season games will be very important."
but imho they'll try to avoid getting into a negative mind set with last years end-of-regular / post-seasons results in the back of their heads

Mris

Danrman, why are you taking Sergio Garcia over Paul Casey? Paul Casey is hot coming off a win and Sergio is known to do a choke job at the Masters. I really like Anthony Kim 1st round over Rory Mcillroy. Rory is only 17 and I think he is going to be nervous playing at his first masters. I like that Furyk play over Els but 5dimes doesn't offer me that matchup.

The Denver Nuggets have been playing teams with mediocre defenses allowing the Nuggets to score at will and come out with plenty of wins. They are on FIRE but they havent played anyone worth playing. Theyve scored plenty over 110 points the past 6 games playing against sorry defensive teams. The last 8/10 games between Den and LAL are under the total number (last 6 in a row also). The Lakers will bring this "HOT" team back down to earth I believe. I dont think Denver will get passed 100 tonight. So with that said my picks are...
Den/LAL u210.5
Chi -6
LAL -9
Lets do it!

lal -9 (den is playing day by day and on the road)
chi -6 (10-3 ats at home in last 13 games)
sac +9 (Sacramento is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Houston)
and maybe i'll play teaser:
lal -2
chi +1
sac +16,5
Good luck!

The Denver Nuggets have not gotten blown out since February 24rd against boston and Nene didn't play in that game. I think the Lakers will win but covering will be a different story.

Denver/LAL under 210....(opened @ 215)
-Prior to their last game the Lakers had held their last eight opponents to a 100 points or less.
-The Lakers have gone under the last 7 in a row as a home favorite.
-The Lakers have gone under in their last 5 against teams with a winning record.
-Denver has gone under in their last 4 as a road underdog
-The last six meetings between these two teams have gone under.

Standard california team lines be inflated....I hope you all enjoy paying your bookie on this one...
This pick is as strong as Utah over Dallas....send me half the money your gonna bet and ill kick you in the nuts and call it even.
To the Broncos hater....I would rather lose to the Lions this year then have that \*\*\*\*\*\* Phillip Rivers as my quarterback....talk to me when Mark Sanchez is starting for us asshole....
