So lets have a discussion on this forum about what we like for tonight boys...I took some time off and Im back into it tonight...just hit a 3 team MLB parlay this afternoon...
What do you all have as your strong plays for the evening??
Hello, you were missed a ton . Wasn't the same posting in NCAA without seeing your thread. Tonight looks like a really good night. We have Detroit for the game. Mavs for the first half and for the game. and for some desert New Orleans at like 10 .
Hey babe...yea, I missed you all too. I was getting very very frustrated with Ncaa...it seemed like a coin flip on most of those games! I dont like to wager when I feel like Im just wagering for action. I feel more focused now..Im sooooo excited for the MLB season! I do the best in that sport
Im going to look at those games right now and Ill let you know what I think..
Im definitely liking the Mavs...Miami's road record (13-23) is rather "icky". The Mavs went into Minnesota last night and walked out with a 20-point win, and aside from their recent trip to Cleveland, they seem to be playing better basketball on both ends. Jason Terry is starting to deliver, Dirk is Dirk, and the role players (Brandon Bass, Jose Barea, James Singleton, etc.) are starting to contribute more in order to get the starters much needed rest. Dallas owns the glass and shoots better from the line... and those two factors alone will be the difference in this game...
I also like New Orleans tonight...The Hornets are currently on an 8-0 SU and ATS winning streak against the Clippers dating back to the 2007 season when Los Angeles last beat the Hornets in January of that year 100-90 as a 6-point favorite.
Since then, it’s been all Hornets. Over that 8-game stretch New Orleans has beaten the Clippers by an average of 13.6 points per game. So far this season the Hornets have beaten Los Angeles in their two meetings by an average of 19.5 points per game.
Tonight, the Hornets are installed as about 3 1/2 point favorites.
The Clippers come into this game having failed to cover in 4 straight games against the Southwest Division and having covered in only 1 of their last 11 games against the Western Conference.
Also, when playing at home against New Orleans, the Clippers have failed to cover in each of their last 4 meetings.
It’ll be more of the same tonight as the Hornets get over easily as I agree with you
I DO NOT like the Pistons pick...the Pistons have not exactly been very good of late. Ever since acquiring Allen Iverson for Chauncey Billups things have been fairly dreadful. Yes there is still a lot of talent there with Hamilton, Prince, Wallace, Stuckey and a few others but it's not like these guys are brimming with confidence right now.
Detroit also is playing on a back-to-back tonight after tangling with LeBron and the Cavs in Cleveland last night. Certainly fresh as a daisy will not really describe tonight's visitors. Also the road is never the greatest or easiest place to play and the Nets at least were off yesterday giving Devin Harris another day of rest from the recent injury and old man Vince Carter some spring in his legs as well.
Motivation is always a huge factor in any sport and after New Jersey getting thoroughly embarassed on Sunday night at home against Richard Jefferson and the Bucks a rebound effort more than likely is on the docket. That was an absolutely pathetic display and more times than not professional athletes will be focused and come out with some fight the next time out.
New Jersey is more than likely all done in terms of the playoffs but they are not fully eliminated.
If any play on this game, Id probably go with NJ in the first half due to Detroits hard fought battle with Cleveland last night. They may be a bit slow to start...
I like it but as bad as Detroit looks there still going for a palyoff slot while NJ is completely washed up they have a Devon harris and that's about it I dont even consider Vince Carter a key play or even active. Who will be stopping Hamilton , A.I. , and Prince.
not to mention the way det played against ceveland lastnite.they didnt win but come on what makes u think they wont play like that again tonite against a shitty ass nets team
There has got to be desperation setting in with the Suns. Every game for them from here on out has to be a must-wini situation as they trail Dallas by four games in the race for the final Western Conference playoff spot. So we'll give them a chance tonight and play them against the Rockets.
Phoenix averages 111.6 points a game at home and gives up 105.9. They have followed up a very nice 6-0 (5-1 ATS) streak by losing their last three games, including an ugly 126-118 loss at Sacramento on Sunday.
Houston has won the last three meetings between these two, but look at the spreads and you'll see the Suns are 10-3 ATS in the last 13 meetings.
Phoenix is also on ATS streaks of 4-1 at home and 7-3 after a non-cover. The Rockets are on ATS slides of 2-6 against the Pacific Division and 7-20-1 after a spread-cover.
Houston is in the playoffs while the Suns are likely out. But still with a fighting chance, I'll take my chances with Steve Nash, Shaq, Jason Richardson and a host of young players that can hang in this league.
No way the Nets are winning tonight against DETROIT. They simply don't have the skill to beat Detroit. And Iverson is coming off the bench! Maxell is going to eat that paint up. The Nets are becoming a jump shooting team and the thing about that is they can't really shoot. Their best shooter is injured Bobby Simmons. I want to know who on the Nets has the height to stop Prince? Let a lone Rip? What bench does the Nets have l0l. The Nets may want to come out and reedeem themeselves but they simply don't have the team talent. They should have kept Richard Jefferson. No way I see the Nets winning. Their probably lose by 6 or 8. Not a blowout though, I don't think. Houston is just a better team than Phoenix. I expect Houston to win.
Good Luck SportsTerminator!!!
Im not making a play on the NJ game...the line doesnt seem right to me..everything you have said is right on, and the line should be more than it is...seems like a trap game to me on top of everything else in my write up...
I will be playing the suns later tonight though as I believe that their talent at home is enough to cover...
The Pens are the play tonight over the Devils. While I agree that the Devils will correct soon, it won't be tonight against a healthy PIT team. Fleury is rolling right now, and ever since Brodeur's big milestone, the Devils play has been flat. The SOG are there, but they're not penetrating the opposition's defence.
Also a big fan of STL over CHI tonight, with Chris Mason looking for his third shutout vs CHI this season, and PHO over COL (who are 2-8 in their last 10, while being outscored 39-15 in that span...)
