First off I need to (re-state) my purpose here so the few that have already decided to bash me can understand a little better since that seems to be a problem. You know who you are.
To the rest of you, I think this is a fun way to make my picks public, spark some conversation and ultimately win a little cash. I am not a NBA capper and have not claimed to be EVER. With all that said, these are my picks tonight.
LAL -5.5 (idk. i just like the lakers by 6 here.) IND -2 (CHI is known for being a horrible road team, indiana covers no sweat.) DEN -12 (a rested DEN team will take care of the knicks who played their hearts out last night to back door cover the jazz. i dont see them covering double digit spreads on the road in altitude two nights in a row.) POR -6 (port is tough at home and utah just traveled there after playing a tough second half v.s the knicks.) DAL -8 (Dal owns minny and minny has been playing above their talent level of late. time to come back down to earth. dal needs to win for the playoffs so i see a big dal win here. big.) PHI -2 (tough game here vs. atl but the home team prevails. and i got a good line.) CLE -9.5 (i love cle and hate det. maybe that played into this pick but everytime i play cle they cover and the answer coming back to det is actually the iceing on the cake. lets go lebron!!! Mo!!! big red!!! ilgauskus!!!!!west!!!!take the pistons down)
LAL 1H -3 IND 1H -0.5 PHI 1H -1
POR/UTAHover 192.5 (another case of gut feeling, but these teams score a lot and 192.5 looks like a eastern conference spread.)
YUP!!!!! NO DOGS. 5 home teams with respectable spreads and good situations. the two road teams are LAL -5.5 vs CHA???? thank you.. and DAL killing minny.
Not bashing just saying....Bobcats have a good ATS and everyone gets up for the game when the Lakers come to town. LA has not covered a ton of games this year. The public is backing LA so it has to make you wonder why LA is only favored by -6?
GGPLAYER: bashing was meant for one person in particular. the line is -5.5 (or it was when i booked) the Lakers score 14 points per game more than CHA who are barely over .500 at home. although the lakers have lost 5 of the last six vs. CHA and other than Boston they are the only team to have a winning record vs. LAL since 1960. hmmmmm Makes you wonder doesn't it. but i still like LAL. i feel that they are going to play tough after a loss to ATL and will cover this game.
