Portland/Phoenix under 221.5
The best! Phoenix will be playing their 3rd game in 4 days with travel an a different time zone involved...I like the Blazers to play a tough defensive game and take the Suns out of what tey like to do best which s run. Phoenix will win the 1st half with ease, but Portland is a 4th quarter team (the best in the NBA) and are prone to huge come from behind wins. At the same time, this is the highest total assigned to a Portland game this year. That alone deserves a stab at the under. Still undecided about a side on this one, but the early nod goes to the Blazers...
last time these teams played each other in portland they combined for 243. and that was before gentry went back to the running game.

Phoenix played a hell of a game yesterday, and now they'll be going to play the Jazz at home [I'll call this one ahead of time: Jazz win the 2nd half]. Today its gonna be defense on both sides...I'm leaning on Portland winning it. I'm with CK on this on the under.

No actually it made me feel like doing the opposite of conventional thinking. The truth of the matter is that 243 spot is exactly why I am taking the under in this game. The public will pound the over, so I will go the other way. When i saw that this is the highest total for a Portland game this year it made the choice very easy for me. I have a non-competition pick today. It is non-competition because i am buying points.
I am taking the Blazers at -3.5 buying three points (BIG, BUT NOT HEAVY).
I thought the 6.5 was a few too many points considering their straight up record against the Suns, yet and still I think that the spread was presented in such a way as to pull in a ton of Phoenix money (and it will) and then pull the carpet out from underneath their backers. Portland will win this game late considering the amount of minutes logged by the Suns starters in their past couple of games against Denver and Utah. They have used their bench a little bit, but their bench is filled with inexperience, and that doesn't help on the road in one of the hardest places for opponents to pick up road wins. Barbosa's absence will show in this game. The starters will be tired and in foul trouble by the end of the 3rd quarter and Portland will get their second win in 11 tries. 9-1 straight up is what it is. Here is what the original rules that was the challenge which I started. Then Ck came back and said totals were ok because this is the NBA. That makes me a serious disadvantage since I never play them but I didn't say shit. If you are not counting the INDY pick last night 20 minutes before game time then how the hell are you counting NCAA picks. If we want to go back the the original challenge I am kicking the shit out of the competition with no totals or NCAA. Now lets be men and pick the Fu cking picks and let the chips fall where they may or I am out. I am not going to let my Challenge rules be changes as we go. If you don't want to abide by the origianl rules fine. NEW ONES are anything goes as long as it is posted before game time. Wow sorry for stirring up controversy on the scores. I'm going to keep my mouth shut and just sit back. Please continue with the competition BigMoney, CK, and Nite. No matter how this competition pans out you guys are still making picks that are winners and thats what counts. I've never seen a competition where the scores are so tight between the competitors and that obviously proves something, that you guys are good at what you do.

TO CK AND NIGHT ONLY!! I really don't see what is not said here I want to add a play but its only 20 minutes before game. I consider it a pick. If not then in all fairness I think NCAA picks like San Diego yesterday should be tossed also since this is a NBA challenge. I think that both should be included and as long as the picks are in before game time then they should be counted. And from now NCAA is included also.
