    Default NBA Thursday

Any thought's on Clippers back to back versus Memphis...Clip laying 3.5 early...

Memphis then travels for last game of road trip to Phoenix after this one in LA tomorrow night, while Clip have two days off...

If Lakers beat Clippers, might have to like -3.5, if Clippers prevail not sure if different scenario, just may like Clips more with a Laker win here...

Celtics still getting 8.5 tomorrow night at Southpoint and BetOnline in Orlando (FYI freaking +9 at ABC)....

Rondo in, Allen out...Celtics first game on 2 days rest this year, can't hurt with the injuries... but when you are looking at this its tough to hand the loot over (actually may as well burn it):

    Rajon Rondo G Prob Thurs - Wrist - 1/25/12 notes 0-0 0-0
    Chris Wilcox F Ques Thurs - Calf - 1/25/12 notes 0-0 0-0
    Jermaine O'Neal C Ques Thurs - Knee - 1/25/12 notes 0-0 0-0
    Keyon Dooling G Ques Thurs - Knee - 1/23/12 notes 0-0 0-0
    Mickael Pietrus G Doub Thurs - Shoulder - 1/25/12 notes 0-0 0-0
    Ray Allen G Out Thurs - Ankle - 1/25/12 notes 0-0 0-0

I think LAC rebound and cover the 3.5. Not sure about the other. Probably low scoring, maybe take BOS plus the points, or the under.

have to agree with Clips, will not be happy after this loss tonight to Lakers at "home"...

BetOnline has moved it down to 3 as well..

Most people seemed to be on Memphis in Portland the other night. Most ppl here were in love with Memphis just a couple days ago as they were riding a 7-game winning streak.

    so what changed ?

The Rose Garden is a tougher place to play than the staples center vs a b2b clippers team (and this time memphis is rested, unlike their game in Portland the other night).

it's just funny how perceptions change so fast at the blink of an eye around here. lol

So the Clippers all of a sudden are impervious to having a 2-game losing streak ? since when ?

That game tomorrow gives me sort of the same eerie feeling I had when the Bucks played there and people thought I was nuts to lay 6u on MIL. The first time the clippers got shown this year was @ SA when they got blown out.. followed by a home loss where they didn't look sure of themselves at all in the 2nd half, second guessing themselves at every turn.

So now they lose to their Cross-Town rival for the first time after going 3-0 against them (I don't care if the first 2 were preseason games , those games had the energy and intensity of playoff games). Maybe a little self doubt creeping in again for the clips ?.. and they play against a rested confident team that's 7-1 in their last 8 and pissed off about their last loss.

Memphis threw a total stinker of a performance in LA vs the Lakers right before their winning streak. You don't think the Grizz want to right the ship to get back on the winning track again by having a much improved performance in their 2nd visit to LA ?? And in that same arena ?

Call me crazy, but something here just feels eerie.

Far crazier things have happened in the NBA than Memphis taking the Clips behind the woodshed tomorrow. Griffin with 2 early fouls could quite easily set that tone. Just throwing it out there.

agree Grizzlies on rest is something to be looked at... and emotion of Lakers/Clippers could very well be the difference in this one for Memphis, definitely looking into it more... just simply may be more value in Orlando/Boston, but definitely feel interesting situation with Clip on b2b after Laker lose at "home"

PR9: agree that people jump on and off band wagons quicker than ever before, especially with LAC this year and Memphis is over real deep, even without Randolph and Arthur around

okay, all I know is this. Grizzlies coach came out yesterday to the media and said:

"Every single one of our players understands we have to play with more intensity and sense of urgency in that arena than the last time"

take it for what it's worth.

on the other game, someone made a very good point that boston always plays orlando's offensive style well. The celtics know orl's system like the back of their hand and plays orlando's in-and-out offense with precision. it's not a bad matchup for them

Rondo out can completely change landscape here PR9... now 10 basically across the board (9.5 at SouthPoint)
